Rumours have been circling that it has second season. Even âMarcus Hereâ on YouTube mentioned it and a variety of other drama info sites have it down as season 1
Itâs definitely a filmed as longer run series and felt like the first arc of the story, and also editing-wise it hasnât been cut to oblivion like âShinning Just For Youâ.
Whether iQyi release the rest is up to the fates. I suspect that they may air drop second after the ratings are in, but as we all know from experience this is not always the case.
I hope they do release the second season as it was an intelligent and enjoyable drama. Plus in my opinion I found HJJ, his acting really developed in range especially in subtle expression. I think the year hiatus he took has been beneficial and he has come back stronger.

Some other sites have this ambiguously labelled as âseason 1â so I suspect that they split it, air dropped the first half to test the waters and they may sneak in âseason 2â when no one is looking if the viewership/reaction is there

I hear that the amnesia trope makes an appearance. Being that I find amnesia and noble idiocy personally the most hated of tropes, how annoyed will I be?
On the one hand itâs a republican era drama which generally means everyone is going die and the end will be heartbreaking, which contradicts my âno sad endingâ rule.
And on the other is Zhang He yet again looking particularly fine especially in the period clothing.

I think a more accurate representation of the FL character (at least for what I seen up so far) is she has a âkeen investigative mindâ with the common sense of a crayfish.
Is there character growth for the FL? I am enjoying the light heartedness of the drama, but I am feeling this little need to dry slap the FL at her constant squealing of âhelp meâ.
