Before I start this, does it end on a cliff hanger of an ‘open/ongoing’ ending? If it has an open but fairly solid ending I am fine with diving in…. Basically will I be spending 12 hrs to only be left hanging with unbridled rage this waiting for season 2?

If it’s cliff hanger I will leave it until S2 is out and add it to my ‘waiting for my happy ending’ list

Once you have seen it you can never unsee it again. I can only recommend after abusing you eyeballs this way, drinking enough alcohol until the picture centre of your brain wipes the memory of this monster.

Oh definitely give it a go, it may not have the typical romance bells and whistle but the chemistry makes up for all of that.

We have all been surprised on how quickly we have been hooked. I am also someone who like a good amount romance and fluff, this is good change of pace, my plan after this is jump into ‘New Life Begins’ or ‘My I Help You’

I like you need concrete evidence of HE, so even though I almost half way, I quickly skipped to the last 5min when the last ep was uploaded. It’s a happy ending but it a last 2min. The discussion is that we all think it was suppose to be a 40ep run drama but they had to cut down to 38, so apparently the last ep is little rushed and not as good editing wise as the rest of the drama.

Not your ‘idol’ tripping over invisible objects level romance drama. It’s a mature slow burn, but their chemistry is on ❤️‍🔥🔥 also they have a great height difference, I do like height difference 😍

It’s a really suspense/mystery plot, your feels will be all over the place as they made the characters fairly complex and ambiguous motives.

I suspect that its was originally 40eps, as 38 is strange number to end on. Usually a drama is designed for 32 or 36 eps if they have planned not to do a full 40. My asumption going from comments on the rushedness and editing of the last episode, is that they had a whole 40 eps but were only given the licence for 38 and so had to cut it down by 2 eps. Whether thats down time slotting or money I couldn’t say.

I am also late to the party and only started it on Monday…it’s pretty damn good, I was up until 3am yesterday. My sleep schedule is shot now until I finish this 😁

Yes, I skimmed to the last few min on Youku and it’s happy. I can now watch the rest peacefully with this knowledge

It’s going to be the only time this year where I wished the drama to have more episodes, it think a 40 ep run would be the perfect length.

Either way even if the ending is rushed I am ok with it, it’s be while since I have been this entertained by a drama before the 10th episode :)
