Rather than hating anyone, I actually feel bad for everyone. First of all Dalmi. Seriously every other person is lying to her about something. Jipyeong because he isn't accepting his feelings and when he finally comes in term with them, it might be too late for him and he might have missed his chance. Dosan because he was dragged into a lie without his wish but had to go with it because he ended up liking the girl and building a relation based on misunderstanding. And Injae too. The actions of her mother and stepfather make her question and regret her choices. The pressure to prove herself is making her do some questionable things.
And redarding war in the comment section, I just hope all us rise above our biases and ships and focus on the characters and their goals. There is much more than romance here and whoever ends with Dalmi, their lives will be much more than that. Happy drama watching everybody.
Really nice choices. Especially the range. I'd also like to add Forest of Secrets. The friendship between Hwang Shi Mok and Han Yeo Jin from Forest of Secrets/Stranger is one of the best platonic friendship out there.
Injae is kinda pitiful, the pressures she's getting are from everywhere. Her step dad, her mom and also people…
At last someone said it. And what hurts me is that while people are trying to understand Han Ji Pyeong, no one is trying to understand In Jae and even hating her and calling her names. It's not that her lie was justified. It was wrong of her but she had to enter sandbox at any cost to stand strong infront of her mother and stepdad. I just hope she realises her mistakes soon and comes clean.
So I have an idea for Season 3. Since all of us live for the Hwang-Han interactions, season 3 can be a nice, slice of life take on Forest of Secrets where best friends Hwang Shi Mok and Han Yeo Jin solve and discuss cases together and eat meals together in the food tent. Also, sometimes their other *cough*best friend*cough* Seo Dong Jae will also annoy, sorry, join them. Should I contact Lee Soo Yeon??
Props to Noh Hee Kyung for writing some of the most realistic characters out there. Some people say that the leads are annoying and in reality, I too felt the same in the beginning but as the show progresses, you understand them and their actions. They are not the perfect characters. They have flaws, are opinionated, are sometimes selfish, sometimes they swallow their pride while sometimes they stand strong in the name of their principles. They make many mistakes. They are not superheroes who always fight the injustice in society and emerge as winners. They are just simple people like us who have some issues in their lives and go on to do their jobs forgetting them for a while. Because in the end this is what makes them human and so relatable.
nice, thanks for sharing your thoughts!yeah i didn't speak about how Oh Yeong Seok's death (point blank murder)…
But I enjoyed Stranger much more. Stranger did what DS 60 Days couldn't do and that was blending politics and investigation in a perfect manner and that too with so good characters.

Oohhh.. Exactly my thoughts. Neither I could hate the villains, nor I could like the Blue House characters. I just wanted it to end quickly after EP 13. Park Moo Jin was like the most cliche Kdrama protagonist whose bad decisions lead to good outcomes.
Stranger is similar but I think you have already watched it. Will definitely share with you if I watch something similar.
That's what I felt for this drama when I recently finished it. While the political part was certainly well done, the investigation part felt too forced and undone until the end. The antagonists could have been used in a much better way and be better fitted in the story. Oh Yeong Seok was such an interesting and charismatic character to just die like that. It felt that the investigation story was just to maintain the suspense and keep viewers engaged. That's why they wrapped it so abruptly in the end. Their main focus was just to highlight the politics of Park Moo Jin.
Am I the only one who finds MDL ratings crap. Crash landing on you the most generic romance with generic one dimensional…
Even though I really like healer, but I still can't digest the fact that it has higher rating (even cloy) than stranger(1/2). I regularly check the top shows and a few months back, they were even higher than Reply 1988. Maybe it's got to do with the no. of viewers, which is much higher in case of cloy, healer and other popular shows.
i found it really interesting how you said "in 2008, if television wanted to make their characters feeling ‘down’…
I don't exactly remember what it said or meant but someone wrote on a forum that PDH is destined to be sad in this life and that is the reason he was too depressed.

But I'll definitely suggest you to give it a try if you like thrillers.

Can you please recommend me some crime thrillers you liked?
