Wish the whole rebirth wasn’t an issue to be shown on screen

Lol I don’t get why they needed to sow a discord between the leads, it is really unnecessary. We need the time to talk about other matters of the plot…not sure how I feel about this now especially with them cutting out and shortening the eps. I am quite worried but let’s see.

Recommend reading the novel after the drama is complete so you won’t be constantly comparing like me and then get disappointed 😭

Perhaps this is why eps are so short? That’s so unfortunate, all the hard work from the staff

I wish I didn’t read the novel at this point lol (so I wouldn’t constantly compare and get disappointed). I think a lot was rushed and ~30min per ep?!

Yeah I am concerned because even with the changes and removal of certain aspects of the story, it is still a short drama to tell the main plot. I would hate it to be rushed towards the end. I guess we will see.

Anyone know if they shortened the eps on purpose? 35 min is pretty short and we only have 36 eps

Yeah I think it was death by a thousand cuts or something like that. I liked the whole plot of them revealing the truth and XJ confronting HRF in prison

Yeah it looks like they make SML do a lot of chasing in the drama. Hopefully it doesn’t drag the plot because I liked the way it was handled in the novel (more subtle) and the SML knew he didn’t have a chance. Romance was also not his priority. We shall see how it plays out here - hoping for the best, that they cover the main plots and wrap it up neatly

SML knew she was a woman because he saw her (without her realizing) at the beginning of the book. But only ML knew the entire truth of her identity as General Fei Hong in her first life. Ofc this will be tweaked a bit in the drama since the whole “rebirth” doesn’t exist (likely due to censorship).

Oh interesting, so they made a few tweaks here and kept some of the original script. I guess HY asks XJ to teach her in the drama? It looks like they also amped up the romance in the drama

Love ZY, she can pull off so many looks: elegant/graceful, bubbly, or cool and chic.

Yes she only ever liked the ML (besides some feelings she had for the man she married in her first life, but this part of the story was removed for the drama)

Yes there is a love triangle, the main one being;
Xiao Jue/He Yan/Chu Zhao

It wasn’t draggy or exaggerated in the novel (which I liked), more slow burn and subtle. But looks like they highlight it more in the drama based on the teasers (not sure how I feel about this but we shall see)

Based on the teasers and fan cams, at least half of the scenes you mentioned will be there - crossing the bridge, drunk scene, fighting the enemies, the confrontation when XJ finds out her identity.

I really want to see the big climatic scene where He Yan duels with He Ru Fei and exposes his true colours. There were so many great parts in the novel! Sadly we only have 36 eps so hopefully they will give us the main plots and wrap it up neatly
