Yeah seems like it is more romantic. Based on previews, it seems they will emphasize the love triangle between HY, XJ and CZ more (not sure how I will feel about this since the subtleties and slow burn are what made it more satisfying in the novel)

The main reason behind my anxiety is the fear of disappointment haha. Especially because there are only 36 eps to tell the whole story

Thought I was ready for tomorrow but not sure if I am anymore. Too many mixed emotions and anxiety. Eeeeep! And will be late in catching up since I can only watch after work eeeeek. Looool anxiety is off the roof! Don’t know what to expect but I should not have too many expectations. Regardless, I am happy to see Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei on screen, they are so visually compatible. Happy watching friends!

Thanks for flagging this, good reminders! Trying to remind myself not to compare to the novel too much, I know I will reread it after anyway. Haha

My fave couple ever

When I read the novel, I could see why she was casted. Visually, she really suits the role as the character is described as petite and delicate looking. But I agree, I hope she can deliver!

I was kinda disappointed when I heard the teasers of the OST track, especially since one of my favourite OST artists Zhou Shen sings one of them. It doesn't pack the punch that some other OSTs do. But maybe they will grow on me once I start watching the drama.

I wonder how they will tell the story with only 36 eps because there is a lot to cover in the novel…so worried and anxious! Eek!!!

Based on the novel, the romance is more of a slow burn and the leads are both mature. So not your fluffy type of romance. If it follows the main plot of the novel, it should have proper plot development

I think it is a plus that you did not read the novel so you can go in with a fresh slate lol

So sad, I usually like Zhou Shen’s OSTs but wasn’t feeling this one. I was hoping Liu Yu Ning would sing one but no luck 😭

Lol the slight curl of his lips when he smiles hahah, kinda reminds me if edward cullen from twilight whenever they describe his smile in the novel

I don’t remember her hiding in the tub with him in the novel though, unless they wanted to up the intensity if the scene in the drama?
