Haven’t finished the novel, so correct me if I’m wrong. But in the end when the CP live happily away from everything, it was noted that XZ refused to meet the diviners or something. Perhaps because he knew what happened but by that point, it was all done and the CP owed them nothing and didn’t want to bother?

Yeah I did notice the number of flashbacks throughout the eps so far. Ofc if used well, they provide impact but could’ve kept at a minimum at times. Wish eps were longer!
I just realized, there were several moments when SL would always think of XZ and his cooking. From the moment they reunited after parting ways in the mortal realm, and before falling into the sea. Lol she is a foodie alright, but I’d like to think it as a love language for the both of them - XZ making delicious food for SL ☺️

I can understand what you mean, it is quite romance-based. I was surprised at the slow burn and number of long gazes and minimal dialogue in a number of scenes. It is a different style to other romances - I guess the beauty is in the unsaid here. The CP chemistry is what keeps me going. Thankfully they chose seasoned actors who can express themselves well. I think more action and plot will unfold in the latter half! Should be exciting!
