I saw someone mention that the author was the scriptwriter for the drama adaptation - is it true? Maybe thatās why the drama has been so faithful to the original. I read the Eastern Sea scene out and can see that certain dialogue and details were changed, but I love how it didnāt take away from the main plot and enhanced it for the show. For example, XZ freezing lightning wasnāt mentioned but it definitely gives impact in a drama setting! Amazing CGI

Omg same! I donāt remember being that fond of him in PA but like him here! Perhaps this character suits him more, there is more range and there is also some humor so the actor was able to bring in his real life characteristics in. Nice to see him grow as an actor

Havenāt finished the novel, so correct me if Iām wrong. But in the end when the CP live happily away from everything, it was noted that XZ refused to meet the diviners or something. Perhaps because he knew what happened but by that point, it was all done and the CP owed them nothing and didnāt want to bother?

Yeah I did notice the number of flashbacks throughout the eps so far. Ofc if used well, they provide impact but couldāve kept at a minimum at times. Wish eps were longer!
I just realized, there were several moments when SL would always think of XZ and his cooking. From the moment they reunited after parting ways in the mortal realm, and before falling into the sea. Lol she is a foodie alright, but Iād like to think it as a love language for the both of them - XZ making delicious food for SL āŗļø
