Is XZ aware of his love for SL yet? I assume not 100%. From novel spoilers I think he doesn’t until the part where everyone thought she died and was buried in the Eastern Sea?

Tbh I didn’t know if he would be able to do subtle expressions. I can’t remember much of PA - but he felt more stiff there. Nice to see his growth.

I can understand some of the complaints because there is a “standard” look especially for xianxia roles, they have to have this ethereal refined aura. Perhaps that’s why he had to lose weight to achieve that look (altho unfortunate they have to do this).

I’m surprised they are considered old, they look great! It would be very odd to see 20 yr olds play the leads here

I can see why, I do think he suits a modern look very much, some actors suit different genres.

Interesting. I heard he lost weight for the role, and ZLY insisted for him to be the male lead. I appreciate seasoned actors for stories like these. It takes experience to bring mature characters to life and capture the emotions. Especially since there are many scenes where there isn't much dialogue or strong expressions

The way XZ follows SL everywhere she goes is quite hilarious (ofc, wouldn't be normal behaviour irl) but is literally a puppy tailing her. Waits for wifey to come home, and follows her everywhere she goes
