On At a Distance, Spring Is Green Aug 9, 2021
This review is from someone who hates romantic dramas, so take that into consideration. I watched the first 6 episodes (almost stopping after episode 3) then skipped almost everything that didn't have to do with the development of the two main ML's story lines after that. It was going well until the romance started then I just didn't care about most stories except for the growth of Joon and Soo Hyun's characters, and Joon's family plotline. I really enjoyed those parts. This seriously should have been about friendships, then this drama would stand out but by becoming just another romance it got boring (to me). The MLs had more chemistry than the couple and their story/characters were better written, too. But, like I said, I hate romance dramas so if that's your thing this might be a great watch for you.

Just finished episode 3, can someone tell me if it gets better? The way one character manipulated another for their own benefit is disgusting. Does that change/ come to light? Am I just supposed to accept that as "romantic"? Will continue watching or not based on answers. Thanks in advance.

Goodness, this sounds exactly like what I worried about reading the synopsis. Thanks for your honesty. I'm still debating on whether to watch or not.

It was okay. The cases were pretty interesting and I liked the bromance between the leads well enough, but they blew hot and cold very strangely. Like one moment they would be in sync and having heart to hearts, then they'd be pointing guns at one other without talking about it later? Maybe I just didn't understand it or something. Idk. The main characters were rather hard to pin down personality wise, as well, and that made it hard for me to really connect or care for them as much as I should have. By the end I was just waiting for it to end so I could try something else. I guess this show just wasn't for me, despite having everything I love going for it; murder, mysteries, bromance, no romance. A lot was left unanswered too, but maybe that's explaned in season two, which I don't really have an interest in.....Oh, well. On to the next one.

Actually the romance in this drama is the best part, and not because of the storyline but how main leads have…
That sounds just fine then. I can handle realistic relationship depictions just not love at first sight, angels singing on high, slow motion romance scenes, etc. And thanks a bunch for answering my question so thoroughly! I'll put this on my watch list.

A good, violent, cops against gangsters movie with Ma Dong Seok. Good (well, sometimes morally gray) cop characters, good fight scenes, and some likable side characters. Good ending but I was left wondering if a couple of people were okay (my hope is they made a full recovery and are living their best lives). Predictable because its based on true events (to some degree) but I rate movies based on how much I personally enjoy them, and I enjoyed this movie. Nothing new or groundbreaking but I recommend this if you like cop movies or Ma Dong Seok, in general.

Is the romance subtle or cringy/annoying? The plot sounds good but I hate most romance storylines, so before I start a 40 episode show I need to know.

Very good OCN drama with a fairly satisfying ending, great support characters, and cute guys and girls in military…
And my favorite couple was Dong Jin and Maek. Best buddies for life.

Very good OCN drama with a fairly satisfying ending, great support characters, and cute guys and girls in military uniforms (and a dog!). Only real problem I had was the ending could have been better, but even then it ended with my favorite couple working together, so I'm not complaining too much. Took a star off for that, the unnecessary tension between the leads (just let them be friends!), and the also unnecessary amount of flashbacks. And not just any flashbacks, but always the same scenes with the same dialog, so the emotional impact they were probably supposed to have wore off and just became tiresome. But did I mention there's a dog???

Recommended if you like OCN dramas or military dramas. No romance (which is a huge plus for me) so if you like that don't expect any here.

Hoped it would end magically in adoption, though.

So good, very satisfying. Recommended if you like movies like John Wick, the Professional, Taken (maybe, I've never actually seen any of this movies), or dark, gritty, revenge stories, in general. ML is a total babe, if that helps.

Is there a better sports movie? No. Just watch this. Lovely feels, great cast, and MDS is so cute I cry. Literally, I get teary-eyed when he's on screen. 10/10
