Are they trying to whitewash Cui ShiJiu? Why does it seem like they are trying to make her a nice person all of a sudden? Also I thought the tribute was happening really soon, why is the Cui family still alive? I was hoping she would go away after it was known they didn't have the pearls for the tribute. I don't feel sympathetic towards her character at all, she's just annoying me now.
I can't stand the crown prince. I HATE the 2ML. Anytime those 2 appear on screen I am ready to rage!!! And that stupid stupid stupid idiot concubine Yan!!! Without asking Mei Lin just listened to her brother and switched where she was supposed to go after the ennoblement.
I get they are trying to put obstacles in between our happy ending but all of my grievances accumulated and burst in this episode. I used to be able to get through Concubine Yan's scenes but now I'm speeding them up x2, maybe even x3.
Also why is the FL questioning what kind of person the ML is after acting like she knows him this whole time?? Idk if I'm just angry right now for some other reason and taking it out on the show but WOW, everyone except the ML pissed me off sooooo bad!
I just came to say Luo Mei looks so much like Liu Yu Ning, if you told me they were related I would believe you. They should play siblings or something...
Is there a behind-the-scenes story as to why we didn't get any kiss scenes or much romantic scenes for the main couple? Is it just because it's a slice of life that they neglected us so? 😭
Its totally fine to wish for a normal relationship, not every body is out to do great things nor do they have…
On your last point, I disagree. I think they are trying to portray that people like Ren Xin Zheng are the ones who make civilizations prosper but that's not the case. You don't have to sacrifice being a good husband, father, or son to be a good doctor. You can be all at once. I got the feeling from this drama that Dr Ren is an admirable character according to Chinese culture. However, the best examples of people I like to draw inspiration from can fulfill all of their responsibilities/obligations simultaneously, instead of neglecting some to perfect the others.
I’m reading this novel and just found out it’s being adapted. I watched the female lead in Everyone Loves Me but I didn’t like her acting. Can anyone recommend a drama of hers so I can see if she’s not as bad as I thought? What’s her best work?
I know right. I only managed to watch ep 1 of Start Up then had to already drop it before ep 2 because too severe…
That's exactly what happened to me lol, they made his character and their potential romance too appealing and then the actual lead couple did not have the same spark

I'm gonna pause watching for a bit...
