Yeah, same. I enjoyed the show overall but I had to ignore those parts. That one scene where LBY was getting hit and then CSS cried for him felt so manipulative 😭. I liked it mainly because it reminded me of other Chinese novels I’ve read with terrible families but the FL is smart and finds a way out for herself. I feel like CSS wasn’t the type of person to crave romance and just wanted to live peacefully, her and LY would have worked out because they would be friends and then gradually develop feelings. I wish they would have did better with CSS because unlike in a novel we have no real insight into her thoughts and she never seemed to like him.

This was my biggest issue with the show. There was basically no reason for the FL to like the ML and the didn’t have much chemistry. At least not more than her with LY. I also wished she got to explore her interests in architecture more and could’ve built her house.

He is, I was scared he would disappoint me the whole time. My worries kept me on the edge of my seat. I was so happy he didn’t. In contrast the emperor in WRTW was so terrible. I was watching them around the same time so it really stood out how good the emperor was here.

is there any show as good as this? I love historical CDramas but sometimes the plot just gives out halfway through or the leads don’t have good chemistry 😭 Any recommendations 🧐🧐

Started this for WDH. Had to drop because the chemistry between the ML and 2FL was too good and the FL acting hurt my soul. WDH and MGY need to act in another show together ASAP.

I have such high expectations for this drama... I love both the leads so much and the plot seems to fit them well. I can't wait, but I wish they would drop the drama all at once so I can binge it immediately lol

It wasn't that bad, pretty fun actually. Although I was kinda rooting for the orange-haired guy and her, I liked who she ended up with. The brother though? Yeah that was a bit much

what’s the WEBTOON ending?

Of course he didn’t like her until he realized who she was. He was in love with his friend who he played online games with without knowing her appearance. He had no patience for girls that approached him romantically because of that. He also told her to act like a girl he would hate which made it even worse. The FL liked him because he was handsome first and then began to learn more about him and ended up developing strong feelings. The ML never saw the FL but just interacted with her while teaming up in the game and fell in love with her personality. If you want to compare who has the more genuine feelings it’s honestly the ML.
