It is not the age that is the problem, it is because the actress LOOKS her age. If you get what I mean. I have enjoyed her in other dramas but Shen Miao doesn't get that old and MZY looks to be in her 30s. The appearance of age, if that makes sense.

Whenever anything is adapted there is the chance that the fans of the source material will have opinions about the choices made by casting directors, directors, writers, etc. Fans of the source material have the right to their opinions and the right to express them. Others also have the right to enjoy it. It's unreasonable to expect blind acceptance. A negative comment on a show I want to watch or already love could never dampen my feelings towards it. The fact that this is such a well-known and loved novel means there will be strong opinions, I also saw that the casting was being strongly protested against. They should have done a better job when it comes to something people hold high opinions of.

Because her hair looked way different from before. Not during the first scene in ep 9, but for a while during the episode it looked like a wig, her hair and outfits have been amazing so far so the change startled me and I wondered if anyone knew what happened. On episode 10 now and it’s back to normal.

Some dramas drag on if the couple is happy for too long. Other dramas I can watch the couple boil water in real time and I will have the best time ever… I can watch the CP in Love in the Clouds boil water in real time.

no I loved it too, I only wish we got an alternative ending where we could see everyone smiling and happy together
