The drama was supposed to be somehow related to " 3 Nen A Gumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Hitojichi Desu " but the only connection they had were the random cameos of the students, that, if you haven't watched the first, you won't even notice it. Also, another difference was that the first drama was more realistic and nippon noir was too much of a dystopian fantasy.
So, other than that, the drama had two things going for it, the main character who was pretty dominant and he was the best part of the drama, and the performances. However, the story was a bit too much. It felt, most of the time, that too many things were happening too quickly and off the scene. I mean, the first part of the drama was a quick sum up of the previous episodes, and a quick sum of some events that happened and we never actually saw. The conclusion was a bit off too, as the events took a more sci fi twist.
So, overall, six out of ten.

The combination of the past stories with the contemporary mystery was good and it wasn't tiring as it went back and forth. The past romance was pretty intense and the love story was sweet and entertaining. However, the present little love story was not necessary and disappointing. The whole mystery with the book was a let down too, as the actual reason behind the crime was not well explained.
On the other hand, the cinematography was very artistic and the book theme was well presented. The performances were really good from everyone in the cast.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The acting and overall all of the performances were pretty good, and there were some funny moments to top that. Though, the "bad guy" was easy to pin point. The drama was pretty good too.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Only ten episodes (or five of one hour) long, which fitted the drama somehow, even though it needed some breathing space to develop the characters to a deeper, larger scale. That is, the characters were interesting and the drama only scratched the surface and didn't present them in a way to enable the viewer to understand them. The main reason for that was that the drama gave too much time on the complex love triangle. However, they did the ending right, because that romance was getting tiring. The side characters were somehow left out of the main plot too.
That said, the drama had an interesting idea and some even more interesting characters. The mood of it was perfect and the story was coming of age driven and, even though it looked light and fluff sometimes, it was dark and did justice to the complexity of being a teenager.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

The drama started with a bang, a strong start with a shock about the characters and who was who. The pace, however, slowed down straight after that, until we got to the trial. The performances, on the contrary, supported the drama greatly, as all the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job with their performances. The trial part was pretty intense too. Finally, the big twist in the end was nicely built and unexpected.
So, overall, six out of ten.

The development of the main character had a smooth pace and the story involved many genres like slice of life, business, family, agriculture life and love. The part, especially, about the animation production and the way Natsu, the leading lady, became a professional modern woman, working and hadling her family. They also concluded the rest of the stories as well, which was a pro for the drama. Finally, the performances were really good.
However, one of my main concerns was the main characte being, most of the times, too perfect. Also, some episodes lacked intensity and entertainment.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

However, there were a few elements that prevended this drama from being great, even though the performances were seriously good. First of all, the story was good, but the drama had some boring scenes. Maybe they didn't handle the pace well enough to keep it interesting through and through. Then, the whole mystery and plotting was not as easily believable as it dealt with kids. But that was easily overlooked. Finally, the ending was questionable.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

When I say simplicity, it wasn't that the plot was boring or too thin. But, the way they presented the story, the character's struggles and her way of thinking and making ends meet was really good, simple, clean and realistic. Plus, the love story was realistic as well.
The acting, in addition, was really good. Especially the leading lady was phenomenal.
However, the ending was so so, as it left many questions answered. And that felt like the movie was presenting just a glimpse of the girl's life.
So, overall, six out of ten.

There was a main hole in the story when it came to the leading lady. Although both actresses were really good and they played the same character perfectly, there were some parts of her story that just didn't feel "real" like she really was going to react like that?
In any case, the love story was good and they had nice chemistry. The love triangle was okay too. However, the ending was just too cliche. At least, character vice, it was interesting.
So, six out of ten.

The cinematography and the way they directed and shot the drama were interesting and made the story more intense. However, I have to admit that looking back now, the actual mystery and story were not as thrilling as they were presented them to be.
But, the dark mood that the drama created was just perfect, as they wanted to presented the characters and their feeling in a deeper more rounder way.
Finally, the ending was really good and it gave a positive note to the whole drama.
So, seven out of ten.
