From the comments, I think we've only scratched about the first couple hundred chapters of the novel (of 2000+ chapters) with this season? I don't even know when he returns from his teleportation section of the story. I think after he returns, Nangong Wan reappears in the narrative, so it's a long while.

Yeah, that part I'm with her. No lady wants to be told/implied that she is old lol - although Han Li probably didn't even think that - he just didn't want her to kill him lol.
I’m on the last episode and I’m very confused so the FL basically screws him over with all of his cultivation…
In their accidental love making in ep 11 or whenever it was, he sucked her spiritual power, setting her back, albeit accidentally. Same here, she didn't intend to but whatever thing she was using to help her heal reacted that way when he was close to her.
I didn't get the feeling that she felt like he owes her something necessarily (unless I missed something in this scene). I just think she's like an awkward teenage girl who can't tell her crush that she likes him so she says the opposite or just random dumb mean things. She actually was out there looking for him after hearing that the entire Yellow Maple Valley sect was wiped out, but she was ambushed by WD and crew.
Again, she's not emotionally mature lol at least at this stage in the story. I have no idea how their relationship changes or progresses in the novel.
What an ending to this season (hopefully there will be more)! Not a perfect 30 episodes, but this story deserves to continue - such great world building, and the cast left an indelible mark on me. And many things are not yet resolved.
Last 4-5 episodes felt a bit like a war movie where everyone’s saying farewell to each other as they are embarking…
Yeah, I think if the show gets more seasons, it needs more of the energy from the last few eps. But I get that this is essentially an exposition phase of the story and not a bad season 1 if you’ve thinking about it from a multi-season point of view.
On ep 28 now. These last few episodes are really bringing it - finally things are coming together. There's something…
"The longer you live...you'll realize that sometimes there are things more importance than your own life. For example, certain people."
What is immortality or the point of cultivation if you lose sight of what could be more important than your own life? I haven't read the novel, but I'm interested now to see where Han Li's journey takes him. This is only the beginning - I'm sure much more awaits.
On ep 28 now. These last few episodes are really bringing it - finally things are coming together. There's something rotten within the cultivation world (at least among these 7 sects) - it's reckoning time. Too bad so many have to be sacrificed - it's unfair to them.
A few more episodes to go. This has been unexpectedly a great watch - not the best police drama out there but solid in terms of building cases and showing police work. Also a plus for showing us the people behind the anti-trafficking team - these are also living, breathing people with their own past and issues.
Ep 25 was a great conclusion to the capital arc - it hits just the right emotional note without being overly sentimental and we see the impact it has on Han Li. Just wish there was more of this - hopefully the finally arc really brings it.
