Very different kind of story (this is in the simplest terms a revenge story). However, this is also male lead centric and does involve intrigue, mystery, schemes, multiple antagonists.

Yes, I really like her. She's a nice balance (as far as a character) to Zang Hai, in my opinion. He's all secretive and keeps things within himself. She's more let's just throw it all out in the open and just tells it to his face. I know the chemistry/relationship hasn't worked for everyone, but I quite like it. In all honesty, if they had just been friends, it would have also worked too for me for this story. But I can't resist a little romance.

The preview for ep 33 seems to suggest he dies then. Maybe some twist? Cause he said someone else had the last laugh. Can't wait.

In all seriousness, ZH is human and even as intelligent as he is and well-trained in deception and strategy, he can't possibly win at every turn. It's nice to have some competent antagonists in this story as well. Although, I'm ready to bid adieu to Eunuch Cao. He's outlived my patience and is another ghastly power-hungry maniac.

There's some deep conspiracy going on. Something big is going to go down.

Yeah...that's what I don't believe anything I see on weibo, etc or Twitter/X. It's all the same rubbish. It is nuts as you say. This story is not just about the ML lol, that's not how a drama works. It's a team effort. Ah well, I'm just here to see what neat outfits the cast has and to enjoy the process of filming and hopefully to see the drama aired smoothly.
