Yes, the drama requires a level of understanding of yin/yang and other known Chinese philosophies/mythologies - although these are typically found in xianxia. But I agree, the writer tends to probe these philosophical themes more than others.

While I havenā€™t exactly loved the execution of this story, I see it as a story of a coupleā€™s broken marriage/relationship. They are having a very intense couplesā€™ therapy session in the mortal realm lol, getting to the root of their problems. Iā€™m going to see how it pans out before passing final judgment.
