Just watched this on Netflix, really enjoyed it!

Ahhhh, the blinding lights and wind out of nowhere lol...but the story is as interesting as ever, hope we get a satisfying finish in the final 8 episodes!

Never got to read the novel, but I guess as it stands in the drama, I’m glad it hasn’t been dragged out for too long. I think it’s just the right amount to maintain the pace of the drama.

Same, I’ve always liked a good slow burn. Where they started out, they had a long way to go before becoming lovers. Where they are now, there are still several steps to go. It helps with maintaining tension throughout the show and can mirror (in tension) the struggles of the political storyline as well.

To be honest, yes, some of the scenes with ZZ went on for too long for me

I know many are anxious to see JXN and XW’s relationship progress (as I am), but there are plenty of storylines here I am enjoying along the way. Currently enjoying Fangyin and LX, and hilarious fake Dingfei’s antics crack me up

Yep, the style is too heavy-handed for me and sometimes distracting, but the story and acting have been pretty solid so far. I can almost ignore it….almost lol

It’s gets pretty crazy if you keep watching.

It’s a harem type drama, so if you’re not into that, probably would skip it. There have been some nice moments here and there, the acting is pretty solid, but it has been severely edited, so the flow is somewhat choppy. I watch it mostly to pass some time or when I’m eating.

Didn't realize episode 29 was out. Finally some action, but wonder what the final arc will be.

It's the ML (He Lianxin).

I find the weird lighting and unnecessarily busy camera work and odd framing of shots very distracting, but the story is intriguing, so will give this a shot.
