SCH wants to bring change in BR but still wants it to exist, whereas SMY wish to completely disband and dissolve the organisation.
Being a patriach means orders need to followed, killing assignments need to be taken without considering whether the assignment is morally correct or not, if they were killing any innocents. BR is never meant to question the assigment. They arw just like a blade weilded by whoever is actually running the organisation, unknown to us at this stage.

For SMY killing is the last resort therefore, he would never want to be the patriarch. He wants a life for himself and others around him to have a option to choose. That's why SMY decided to be the Su family leader instead of patriarch.

This is my understanding.

Episode 10- why did the scene between SMY and SCH had to end. They deeply care for each other.
SMY mentioning all the times SCH landed up in a mess, even when SCH could have handled without much effort.
Beatiful scene.
Now that's the bromance I am looking forward to. Give me more of that.
There is definitely foreshadowing that SCH might end up in big mess in future too.

Who is Li Hanyi? I guess we are going to see her in upcoming episodes, some context would be very helpful. I saw her in an episode earlier, I guess in today's episodes too. Who is she? She does seem to be an important figure.

I have a question if anyone would like to provide me with some answers.

Context- I have only watched the anime version -No novel, neither the other two shows of this verse.

So in the current show and the anime, Blood/Dark River is an assassin organisation who kills on orders. But who do they kill for? They mention that every other person has a right to choose the kind of life they want to live except the three families of Blood River- Su, Mu and Xie who are forced or trained since childhood to kill.
Who are these other people they refer to? Seeking an explanation on the world that exists outside the blood river. If DY and TBOY have these details please share. Thanks

Agree 100%. Though I wont claim to know a lot of Chinese actors. But GJ looks a perfect fit especilly when I have only seen the anime version and dont carry the baggage of having seen other actors portraying SMY.
This holds true for SCH, Uncle Zhe.. almsot all characters.
Casting, costume, styljng. Makeup - every tean has done a great job.

He is amazing. This is the first time seeing his work. Patriarch's role, the way he portrayed it speaks for his acting skills. He grabbed my attention in the first epiode itself, especially the sword fight with Second Master Tang. Thats what kind of set high expextations from the show in terms of action sequences. I would love to see him such signoficant roles in future too.

As the world is burning, families ready to kill at sight there is one person having time of her life far away in an Inn. Been taken care off, fed food in bed, enjoying company of a cute human who she loves to tease. Ms. MYM. Let the world burn, let her brothers SMY and SCH deal with their mess while she relaxes on a comfy bed.

Little i have see GJ as GJ, he seens to be laidback yet energetic and fun loving person. I wonder how many times he laughed or smiled when he was required to keep a straight face.

I have not read the novel, but Blood River SMY is a very close representation of anime SMY.

Loved the farewell scene of him with SMY and SCH. Especially the emotional interaction between him and SMY.
All his life he thought he was alone, only to realise he wasn't right at the end of his life.

Special shout out to the actor. He carried the role with grace and did impressively well tk create a connect. Af least I felt really sad seeing the farewell scene.

1. Su Leader weilds it successfully, making all families to agree. Once Su Jinhui is accepted as the patriarch, current patriarch will habdover the second sword too.

2. If su Jihui failed, then the other sword will create enough havoc in the elders of blood river fhat fhey will be motivated to finish each other paving a path for the younger ones to be the leaders.

Based on the conversation it didnt seem the sword was fake. But their exist 2
