sad ending, but it fits the story 💔 I was honestly surprised, when they showed the flashback and I realized he lied about the fake death, actually wanted real poison to die… I said out loud you gotta to be kidding me😅😅I hate sad ending, but I cannot be mad at it when I feel like it makes totally sense. happy ending and them leaving together was impossible after everything that happened

but we can say bittersweet end since they meet in the afterlife and now free

definitely, I was let down by the ending. I was like why did they -abandonned- their countries ? feel like it didn't make sense after their families died and they were like left to protect the countries. I don't know how to explain ahah I have also watched years ago

I get what you mean, Netflix is definitely annoying with their cancelling, but many kdrama on Netflix are not even done by Netflix, they just air on it (which makes it available for us international viewers, most kdrama air on TV channel), just like Beyond the Bar. They are produced by Korean compagnies and air on TV channel. It's not up to Netflix if It's not a original drama they made

for normal lenght drama like this (around 40 min per ep. for some short drama too), normally yes. the number of episodes depends of the plateform and how it works too (like paying extra). there can be some exception

Those who didn't want to watch because of LOTFG are missing out. I watched it too and like it, but honestly Shadow Love was much better to me. I've cried a few times for Shadow Love, I was emotionally attached to the story, the characters here.
Maybe because I am a romance lover, so Shadow Love being more centered on the love story of the leads, it got me more. The angst and longing in the last few eps was so good. This is how a good angst is done. Anyway I think even the side characters were interesting and had some depth, their own story and growth. A drama that didn't loose its appeal, even got better and better till the end. I am very satisfied with this drama🩵

also, can we appreciate the ost and the music ? I really like the soundtracks and was fitting

Song Yi and Ryan Cheng also did a fantastic job.

the last episode wrap up nicely. conclusion for everyone and the leads happily leaving the life they wanted. perfect ending. a really good watch, some people are sleeping on this drama

same, I am tired of this trope and many more upcoming dramas are like this too... I still watch anyway some of them depending of the cast, but I need more dramas about the leads meeting and falling in love (no past relationship, not exes, childhood friends or whatever). has to be the trend since most dramas have this plot

I only saw this actress once in Les Belles earlier this year and it was the same. If I remember correctly, it had at least 5 kiss and everytime she just stand there, no lips movement (the lips aren’t even in a form for a kissing scene which makes it look awkward just like here), ML was trying, he made it look a bit better, but still…
