I agree I think it's better here and they said a few times in the dialogue how they will always find each other and recognized each other, plus she said to him she's from another world. It felt like him teasing her when he said do you know who I am ? and yes the smile. we can assume and interpret as we see it and want. The writers can't give us more than that, we can imagine what comes after

yes, in that one they did good to pass censorship. it was like time travel, but we got a totally normal ending. I think how they wrote it at the beginning, made it possible to not add a little scene at the end like most transmigration plot

I am really not good at explaining and some things are from my perspectives below 😅😅 you can try to research too on Internet.

But in China, there are rules and every drama must pass censorship, to get licence and be able to air the drama. there is some topics and contents that are not allowed. Have you ever watch a drama with a similar plot? Love game in eastern fantasy, Different princess, Fateful Love, etc... and more. They all have the same ending. they make them come back and briefly meet in the modern world, leaving to our interpretation with a strong implied that the other also remember. I don't think it's allowed to make what happened real or the characters actually clearly remember as if they were both in that dream, book or whatever it is.

Time travel is also banned, I've seen some exception (they did something to get passed it I guess), so these drama also have a similar ending... it was all a dream for exemple (Summit of our youth, legal romance, Scent of time) or everything that happened was in a novel written by the main character (Guess who I am, The story of kunning palace). Also with a dream within a dream, but I think it that one it was done interesting with actually fitting the title since the historical time was the dream in the modern world which is also a dream since both time are not real (it's all in a novel written in the real world by that autor we saw briefly)

done. for what they have to work around to pass censorship, the ending wasn’t bad. could it have been better, yes... but the ending is exactly as expected. we will never get anything more than this unfortunatly. I didn't go that low, but the comment section is pretty chill so far. the last drama recently with a -transmigration plot- and censored ending, everyone was mad or disapointed (me included honestly even if I knew this would be the ending 😅😅), but anyway feel like with this story it's less worst 😂

I was disappointed with only 10 eps, but so far the pacing is pretty good so far and not too much screentime on the side characters, well balanced
