Thanks for posting this. A lot of people got confused or came up with something different with the Jiu Gao’s moment

Yes since last august 2025. Only certain historical drama can pass the 40 episodes cap.

Seeing clips from tiktok doesn’t tell you anything. Trying watching the first episode or even try watching the trailers. That will explain A LOT to you. Happy watching 🙂

This drama is much more grounded and thoughtful. The dialogue seem to flow and much more realistic than the double. It’s Apple and oranges.

I saw some spoilers and indeed she’s loco. She going to rain down some serious unhinged nonsense on the Lin’s family.

Li Xi Yuan

Ik I just wish she had the same answer as Xiao Lian, plead ignorant. Hahaha the know nothing, saw nothing theme will have to continue

Jiu Gao is played by Pan Yi Hong. Lin Jin Qi’s attendant.

That why she is correct to stick to Lan Xiang like a glue.

I don’t think this is a journey to revenge but survive firsthand then find justice to clear her family’s name.

She was smart to quickly find a way without getting implicated by playing the sticks game with the scholar. But I was screaming for her to STOP talking…he is STANDING right there. 😔 sometimes I wish you’d not be too smart. Sighing again.
Now he knows!!!!

NRTA lifted the 40 episodes cap since 2025 August. The first to air 48 episodes was Swords into plowshares on 2026 Jan.

Ma Wen Yuan

Yes, it’s called Nine Familial Exterminations (zhū jiǔ zú). Different dynasties had different types of exterminations. The infamous scholar Feng Xiaoru was during the Ming, where 873 people died. I grew up listening to these kind of stories, even more cruel and horrifying was maids working in the palaces. My grandmother tells me their souls can’t rest that why they haunt the corridors of the forbidden palace. Lol

The trailer does reveal a lot. The wife the parents will choose for him is Zheng Manyi. Fu rong has not been introduced. There is also fl’s lead shifu.

I need 4 of them to survive!

Based on the costumes, it’s Ming dynasty

Yes

I so glad the 4 of them survived the “cleaning of house”. Xiao Lian’s answer just cracked me up…I like to eat, only eat!!😭🤣.
Out of the Zhao’s courtyard into Big Madam’s. Hoping they’ll have better days. Yu Chan looks like a more reasonable head maidsevant
Going forward we’ll be seeing the leads interactions because she will be working in the inner study. Lots of staring and her putting her head down and avoiding his attention 🫣😅
