Honestly, the drama’s plot is pretty weak — we’re really just here for IU, at least I am. I’m not gonna lie, the same storyline with less well-known actors or without IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s level of fame wouldn’t have had the same impact, and everyone knows it.

This is killing me, honestly. For the past 2–3 years, struggles have kept piling up, and I’ve managed to hold on thanks to Asian dramas that helped me stay strong. Today was supposed to be a beautiful day, to watch the incredible IU in a K-drama I’ve been really looking forward to, but it turns out it’s not the right day at all.
I just lost my grandfather about 4 hours ago; life took him after a long battle with cancer. Life is just terrible. When I think about my mother, who must be completely broken inside, it overwhelms me.
I’m not looking for pity by writing this here, but sharing my pain with a community that has the same hobbies as me brings me some relief. The days, months, and years ahead will be hard; we will eventually learn to accept it and live with it, but it’s just terrible.
I lost my grandmother (his wife) in 2015, and today it’s him. A chapter closes, but it will remain forever in our hearts.

At last, another drama with *Perfect Crown*! I was getting impatient, but damn, there’s still nothing to watch on Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday.
I keep replaying Gun Woo’s knockout against that guy in the IKFC cage over and over in my head. The KO was so brutal, I actually screamed the first time I saw it.

Okay, I like “BiBi,” but I’m going to lose my mind if we hear her OST throughout all 12 episodes. Because two episodes in, and they’ve already played it like 20 times 😀
Second episode of “Perfect Crown” finished, and there’s a lot to say. First of all, what kind of budget are we talking about for this drama? We’re talking billions here, I assume. I’m even wondering if it’s not more than “Squid Game.” Everything looks so luxurious and rich, everything is perfect. Even the kid, who’s what, maybe 7–8 years old at most, has a better haircut than me 😭.
The only thing that feels somewhat basic for an average person is the “Subway” sandwich they ate… the contrast though 😭.
Anyway, we’re only two episodes in, but I can already see what kind of drama this is going to be. And that kind of drama isn’t really my favorite. I’m more into slice-of-life/romance dramas that feel grounded, rather than “bling-bling” ones. I’d take a drama like “When Life Gives Tangerines,” with life quotes that break your heart in two, over this kind of K-drama any day.

No joke, I can easily think of 5–6 Korean actors who could’ve taken Byeon Woo-seok’s place—and IU knows them *very* well 🤭
