On River Where the Moon Rises Feb 24, 2021
if this drama keeps being just as great the remaining episodes, I will give this 10/10... even IF Ondal dies (after all, he dies in the folktale) but I hope the screenwriter will follow the novel until the very end where Ondal survives. But I will try to prepare for a tragic ending... I read somewhere that the screenwriter usually makes his dramas end in tragedy. If Ondal dies my heart will break... I love him.

I don't like him either. He is the typical entitled young master from a powerful family who look down on people…
yeah exactly. I don't get it why some ship her with Go Geon instead O_o but ofc everyone are allowed to ship her with whoever they want, I respect that :)

I read bits from the folktale, quite different from this drama and novel(?). In the folktale Pyeonggang does everything she can to make Ondal marry her (for her own benefits) having no feelings for him , they’re basically strangers when she asks him to marry her..at first he refuses, but eventually accepts ..

Anyways , I’m glad Ondal doesn’t hate Pyeonggang after finding out she is the Princess. Shows that despite him being a bit of ”fool” he is still rational and not stupid (In some dramas the ML hates the FL for having a cruel father who destroyed the lives of the ML’s family...but not Ondal, because he understands that it’s not Pyeonggang’s fault) He seems just to fall in love with Pyeonggang even more , as seen in the teaser of next ep! I’m glad their love story is moving fast forward (but still not feeling rushed) it would be a waste if Ondal hated her for a few episodes for stuff that it’s not even her fault, because then there would be less of their sweet/romantic moments

Any historical dramas without love triangles?.....
Maybe ”The Princess’ Man”. The FL was engaged to the other guy (ofc against her will) but he never meant anything to her, and no one got second lead syndrome watching this drama, the guy was a weakling after all betraying others... they don’t have much screentime together.

TMP is a wonderful drama :) I love it!

Can anyone tell me what is happening with the FL. I mean is she playing three different characters or all those…
She is playing dual roles (the Queen). But Pyeonggang and Yeom Ga Jin are the same person.
Yes Ji soo is after all playing the ML character. i really like ondal:)

Title L.U.C.A.: The Beginning Spoiler
This drama is quite a nice watch but boi.I understand that it's FL's priority to find out about her parents.Yes…
wow what a selfish woman. Thank you, I won't bother with this drama... I love strong female leads, but not CRUEL female leads.

September is too far away :( but I try to think positive, the story won't feel rushed and the quality/cinematography will be so good, since they have all time in the world to work on this. At the end of the day, I prefer to wait a long time for a drama to air than for a drama for to air shortly, if it means the quality/cinematography will be better and won't feel rushed and not lazily made at all.

Oooff.. you just reminded me of School 2015... haha.. that was my biggest SLS till now ~ and 6 years already and…
They just HAVE to someday get paired up together in a drama! I mean , they won even the best couple award even tho she chose the other dude. it must be the first (and only ) time a couple awards goes to the FL and second ML despite her choosing the ML instead.

why put the death of the main character in the first 5 minutes?I wanted to see this drama, but with this beginning…
We don't know for sure if he died. . So don't let that scene stop you from watching this drama :)

I don't think I will get second lead syndrome, I usually root for the underdog, and here On Dal is the underdog. And IF I do get SLS I doubt it would be even nearly as strong as in Kim So Hyun's other drama School 2015. So far, I really enjoy Pyeonggang and On Dal's scenes togeher. Can't wait for them to fall in love ~

For lots of people On Dal is the weakest character of this drama... I guess its off putting for some of you because he’s such a ”fool” , and that’s understandable. However, I like him. He’s a good person as already shown when he was concerned about the deer (probably most people during that time era couldn’t care less about animals , if they were in pain).Anyways, he won’t be stuck as just a ”fool” forever. Can’t wait for the love story between On Dal and Pyongggang to start ~

As for Pyeonggang , I have nothing more to add...she is such a badass!! This must be Kim So Hyun’s best role ever.

I was horrified when On Dal’s nanny(?) did what she did to her eyes, wasn’t there less dramatic ways to stop On Dal? Neverthless, all deepest respect to her.

I am loving this drama, so far I have nothing to complain about ~

This has probably been asked many times already, so sorry. But is this drama good, worth watching? I'm asking because the rating is pretty low (8.1)

What’s the difference between director cut version and none director cut?

Edit; Ah I get it now, director's cut has more added sscenes. I will then definitely watch director's cut version instead :)
