So... one more episode left! I'm hoping for some real drama... we need for Nana to come clean about ordering Jump to stay away from Home. (I guess we're supposed to feel sorry for Nana, but she's pretty much acted like a bitch to everybody for the whole series.) It seems everyone is shipping Por/Yong... but I guess I'm in the minority for wishing Por had ended up with Talay (Talay was just so nice and sweet!). I'm not a big fan of the Yong character. Oh well.
Last rant: Thengthai is such a cute girl, and looks so pretty with her hair up or in braids. But if you're going to let it fly free... girl, get a stylist! (Lol.)
TGIF isn't the most polished show by a long way. (That long dance scene in Ep. 11 was lame... why did all the couples look like they were forced at gunpoint by their grandparents to dance the box step?) But I have a soft spot for it, I like the sweetness and innocence. Even if it's not quite realistic, it's so nice to see that they are portraying gay crushes and couples as a natural and normal thing (because it is). Stories like this can only help for gay people to feel good about themselves and gain acceptance by the general public.
It makes a lot of sense to me in a point where they showed us how Type is basically burning for desire right now...…
I would have no issue with the storyline if Type was simply a homophobe who finally gave into his real feelings. But the writers DID go with a childhood trauma, they made Type a victim of sexual assault. And I'm okay with that as a story... but then, don't trivialize it by having Type go from being understandably terrified of gays, to suddenly diving right into gay sex with no buildup or explanation.
So, the plot just suddenly went from Type's childhood rape trauma, devastating nightmares and hating all gay people--including his roommate--to "well sure, I'll allow you to kiss me all over my body and give me oral sex all the way to completion."
Umm... yeah, right.
Sorry, but that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Who in the hell comes up with this stuff?
Hot shower scene aside, I think I just got more invested in the Tum/Tar storyline.
So much in EP.9 but Pluggy really stole the show. He carried that sad scene to almost Singo ability.
I agree! Also, maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd rather see Por (Pluggy) end up with Talay than with Yong. Talay is so sweet and Yong is too indecisive to take seriously.
It is really intense, so far with just two episodes. Episode 1 is nice, but Episode 2 has some very disturbing moments. If you're looking for something sweet and romantic, this is not it.
Well, I'll admit that, physically, I find Tay wayyy hotter than Mew. But...The Pete character is a big turn off,…
Thanks! It's been so long since I watched Kiss Me Again I'd forgotten the plot. :) And, even though I find Tay insanely good looking, I agree that Mew is definitely hot... TharnType is my favorite current BL!
I've just watched the 1st episode(I know I'm a week late and an episode behind) and from all the BL series that…
Well, I'll admit that, physically, I find Tay wayyy hotter than Mew. But...
The Pete character is a big turn off, because of his childish insecurity. .. while the Tharn character is a definite turn on, because of his self-confidence.
And... I know Pete is upset that Kao won't come out to his mom. But has it been established that Pete is out to his own family?
I'll continue to watch Dark Blue Kiss, but I do find the plot a bit shallow.
