Not as bad as I tought at the beginning but really really confusing and messy. Are this guys bad in music or not?…
I hear you... one episode has Jump with about the worst singing I've ever heard, then in the next he sounds decent. Seems like none of the Bangkok boys can play an instrument at all. My guess is that they will magically turn into great musicians by the end of the series, lol. Jump and Home ARE pretty adorable.
Id also like to express my opinion here... i think its a well written drama since it portrayed a real life situation...…
I agree with you completely. Everyone talks about how bad Khai was--and yes, he was a jerk--but let's face it, he had no idea that Third had feelings for him, he just thought he was a friend. Asking a roommate to find somewhere else to stay for the night, standing up a friend for the movies, asking someone to buy tickets for an event and then bailing... yes, those are all jerk things. But a friend (like Bone or Two) would have either just said no or chewed Khai out for his dick behavior and then it would have been over. The fact that Third was in love with Khai is what's supposed to make us feel so bad--and it does--but Third chose to put up with it for waaaay too long.
I thought this was great, it said a lot more in just 25 minutes than some series do in 12 or more episodes. And the actor who plays the lead (Neung) is so good! I hope we see him in future dramas.
This was very sweet overall, I liked the naturalness of the actors. The beginning and ending were weird... so, Time "didn't mean" to shoot Night, he meant to shoot "his enemy." Okay, so who was Time's enemy and why was he trying to kill him? I mean... attempted murder is major and it was never directly addressed! And then... how long did it take for the police to come after him?
Oh well, it looks like there's a continuation, starting in October. Maybe we'll find out more then!
As some others have mentioned, there is something depressing about this. So Fuse and Tee are celebrating their third anniversary, but there doesn't seem to me much "celebrating" going on. I assume they are studying at different universities, yes? So you would think they would be having a wild time here! Even the reunion with Lukmo and the other friend doesn't seem all that much fun.
@hyacinthssoul wondered if Tee might be hiding an illness... and now I'm wondering that, too. Fuse did mention that Tee looks thinner (although he looks perfectly fine to me), and when Fuse asked Tee if they would be together forever, Tee says "I don't know... maybe five to ten years for sure." That's not a particularly encouraging response...
There are plenty of "realistic" dramas out there, but MIR was essentially a lighthearted comedy and It took two full, long seasons for Fuse and Tee to finally make a commitment together. In this case, I really hope this isn't some kind of sad ending... what would be the point?
That`s one of the issues I have with this series, they leave so many thinks out so that you can hardly understand…
Well, that's disturbing.
What is it with these Thai writers having to insert rape into practically every storyline? I'm not against drama, but are we really supposed to believe that Park went to Wayo's room, drugged and then raped him? How exactly did he do that... did he force Yo's mouth open and shove pills down his throat?
Plus, Pha went back to the room that night, right? He saw the hickey. Then, we suddenly see a scene the next morning with everyone looking at the picture. Wouldn't Pha have known that Yo had been drugged, or wouldn't he at least have questioned Yo about it before he left the room?
I liked this series, but this is kind of a major disappointment for me.
So what happened at the end? I mean... I think I get it. Park was upset that Wayo left him at the theater (can't really blame him... Wayo was the one who invited Park), so Park went into Wayo's room while he was sleeping and put a hickey on his neck, took a picture of it and then made posters of it that he placed all over the university.
I guess my question is... what's the big scandal? Sure, it was a sh!tty thing to do, but it's not like the school doesn't now know that Wayo and Pha are together. A hickey isn't cause for scandal, is it?
It might be different if Park put himself in the picture with Wayo, but he didn't. And this cliffhanger with Wayo's father having seen the picture so now he's coming to the university... honestly, when I was in college, if someone had sent my father a picture of his son (me) with a hickey, my dad would have been like "okay... so?"
Is the drama supposed to be that Park has somehow "outed" Wayo to his father? I still don't see how just sending that picture would prove anything.
Am I the only 1 that looks forward to this show every weekend? Yeah the acting is not on par with the other BL…
I look forward to it, too. It's very light and innocent, as you said. No great acting here, but it's cute.
The only thing I wonder is how are a bunch of kids--with obviously NO musical experience playing instruments--supposed to get to a point in a very short time to where they could win a music competition? Is the talent in Thailand THAT bad?
I will say that when Jump (Petch) played the guitar and sang, the singing was REALLY awful. (But he did say, earlier in the episode, that he had no musical talent and could not sing in tune... he was right, lol!)
Is this season worth watching after season 1? I really liked PhaYo in that but I see a lot of negative comments…
I think it's worth watching and, overall, it's better than Season 1. I like Wayo better in Season 2, definitely. I thought Pha looked more like the character in Season 1, but he went from being "Mr. Perfect" to acting like a lovesick puppy dog. This Pha (in Season 2) looks less "perfect" but is a better actor, I think. More than that, MingKit is way better in Season 2 (IMO) and ForthBeam is a really good couple, too.
I don't disagree with many of your points, however, I think you had too high expectations :) and let me explain…
Thanks for the thoughtful reply!
I enjoyed parts of Theory of Love but, personally, I think the BL audience is ready for gay and bisexual characters, without losing its core audience. Love By Chance introduced Pete as a leading gay character and audiences loved him. Other series have also brought up the struggles that gay people face.
While I know that BL series have a certain percentage of fujoshi fans who fetishize the idea of men sleeping together, it also has a following of young gay men, many of them with very real struggles that shouldn't be trivialized.
I'm not saying that all series have to be angsty (I enjoy light and fluffy, too), but it would be a great step if characters--like Khai--didn't just suddenly "turn gay," with no explanation. The idea of changing ones sexuality practically overnight or, even worse, "I'm only gay for you" is nothing more than fantasy... which is a little odd for Theory of Love, whose biggest fans take pride in it being "dramatic" and "realistic."
Anyone know how many episodes there are?

But I don't really understand the ending. I've posted a spoiler just below this post... maybe someone can help... thanks!

Question: is there a minimum age for drinking alcohol in Thailand? These teenagers were all getting drunk in a bar and some of them look 14 or 15!

Okay, my rant is over. :)
