OF course their relationship is toxic as hell the way it is right now, but can't deny it's entertaining to watch…
You're right, we do have to acknowledge that this is fiction. But, for the viewers involved in a real life toxic relationship, is it a good idea to have the two leads end up together at the end? I feel like it sends the message that even the most screwed up relationships can end up happily ever after... and of course, that never happens.
Just caught up on episode 9, and I still feel how I did around episode 4 - like I'm watching an emotional trainwreck…
I agree! I think both Third and Khai need therapy--individually. Guess I'm one of the few that wishes they wouldn't end up together (but I know that will never happen lol).
They are not doing it on purposeIf u are foreign to how subbing work is done than rather be quiet than bash someone…
Understood, thanks for explaining. :) I have no issue with the subbers.
But I think the reason international fans get so frustrated is because there never seems to be a set time to expect the subs. Let's face it, we all have to clear time out of our busy schedules to watch these series, so it's frustrating to have to check all the time.
It's probably fair to say that these series have a larger number of international fans than domestic ones. If not, it's still a large number and the networks should be aware of that.
From what you've said, Netflix has the right idea, very professional. GMM should follow suit, if they really want to build their audience and keep loyal fans from leaving.
Lol what? Have you even been watching the episodes beforehand? Third was so badly hurt by Khai and now Khai is…
For me, the difference is that Khai didn't know Third's feelings until now. Sure, Khai did all of those things, but a good friend wouldn't care all that much (for being ditched for a girlfriend)... the reason Third suffered so much was because he was in love with Khai.
But now, Third says he wants to be just friends with Khai, but instead Third acts like he really hates Khai, treating him like sh!t on purpose. Not cool. Third should either cut the friendship altogether or try to act like a decent person.
A lot of fans are upset because the Theory of Love English subbers tend to take a long time. I'm wondering if GMMTV purposely does this to gain more views.
Many fans watch the episode unsubbed, because they can't wait any longer... then, several days later, watch the same episode with the subtitles. So GMMTV might be getting almost twice the amount of views, than if the subs came out in a timely manner. Pretty smart, actually...
Okay. The more I watch of this, the more I think this entire thing is super toxic. Third is pissed off because…
I agree with you. Third is just as much of an a-hole as Khai was, just in a different way. Third finally makes the decision to stop his obsession with Khai, but claims he still wants to be his friend. He's not being any kind of friend at all. Sorry, I just don't like Third.
The actors are doing great with the characters they've been given. It's the storyline that I'm not too excited about. I honestly wish Third and Khai would just go their separate ways and find happiness with other people.
But hey, it's the only BL going right now, so I'll watch, lol! I don't hate it or anything... I just don't like it all that much. (Just my opinion.)
I really don't know why I keep coming back here, I read some comments and then I feel frustrated AF!! I don't…
I'll admit that I've been disappointed in this series. So why do I keep watching? For one, I've already invested this much time and I know that eventually the story will change. I want to see how it all plays out. Also, I like the actors, a lot. No shade on them.
I assume you really like the series and that's fine. Why should you be frustrated over a difference of opinion? This is a discussion board, not a fan page. I was one of the rare ones that really liked Together With Me: The Next Chapter. I thought the story was really interesting, but most people came on the board to talk about how much they hated it, and it didn't get great ratings overall. Didn't bother me... in fact, I found it interesting to hear why others didn't like it. It made for a more interesting discussion.
As for this series, It's not that I hate the story. Personally, I just feel like 12 episodes is too long (the plot really hasn't evolved much in five entire episodes), and I would have preferred this as a shorter series (maybe 8 episodes), or even a 2 - 3 hour movie. Just my opinion. For me, it's dragging on unnecessarily, but for others, they see it as a buildup. I respect the opinions of those who think differently than I do, and I find it interesting to read their thoughts on the series.
I'll get slammed for this, I know... but I'm starting to not like Third. Yes, I feel sorry for him, I guess. But he's just kind of dull and boring. (Cute, with big pouty, kissable lips, but dull and boring.)
This is no shade against Gun, he's a great actor and I like him in everything else he's done!
This is a very good example of the reality that you can't help who you love. Unfortunately in the real world,…
Probably many of us have been through a similar experience. I myself was... once and only once. For me (I can't speak for others), it had nothing to do with me actually being "in love" with the guy (although I was convinced he was the love of my life). It had to do with a complete lack of self-respect on my part (though I didn't realize that at the time).
The guy I was "in love" with treated me a lot like Khai treats Third (with the occasional sweet gesture, giving me hope). But it was never going to happen the way I dreamed. Subconsciously, I thought I deserved the treatment I was getting.
I knew the relationship was a disaster but hung on. It finally blew up in a big way (it ended horribly, with me being absolutely--and publicly--humiliated). The time spent in that trainwreck of a relationship was the worst time of my life.
So I get it. Fortunately, for me, that was the reality slap I needed to get on with my life. Never again did I (or will I ever) put up with an emotionally abusive person and I've been in a great long-term relationship for several years now. That was the lesson I had to learn.
Okay, I am invested in this crazy story and will watch to the end, lol!
But, serious question: what do you think it is about Khai that makes Third so hopelessly in love with him to begin with?
I mean, think about it... LOVE. That implies "the one," "Mr. Right," etc. What has Khai EVER done to earn that feeling from Third? All Khai does to Third is lie and use him, treat him with complete disregard. With all that, an occasional nice comment is hardly a reason to fall in love with someone. In fact, it's almost an insult.
But also you don't lie to your friends and don't invite them to go with you and then stand them up ( multiple…
Yes! I could understand Third's obsession if Kai was just a tsundere character, but he's so selfish and thoughtless, it's hard to imagine anyone wanting anything more than a one-night stand with him.
People, this series is based on a novel, novel has THE SAME STORY with some slight changes. I don't know what…
I hear what you're saying, but why should we have to read the novel first? Many of us just watch movies and drama series to be entertained. Most mainstream movies are based on novels... a series or movie should stand on its own and not require viewers to do time-consuming research ahead of time.
As much as it's okay to shower praise on this (or any other) series, it's also fine to complain on these discussion boards. And it's okay to argue, too (respectfully, of course). This forum is not a fan page.
I cant believe i have waited almost a year..or was it a year(?) for this show. Its 3rd episode and its basically…
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
I feel the same way. The only reason I'll continue with this is 1) it's the only new BL airing at the moment (at least to my knowledge) and, 2) I do like the actors, from other series I've watched.
The plot seems kind of obvious: Third will eventually grow a set and stop putting up with Kai's bullsh!t, Kai will then pursue Third and they will fall in love and live happily ever after. I get it. (I don't buy it, but I get it.)
For me, the most annoying part is the way this series is dragging out the story. I'm with you: nothing has developed in three episodes... nearly three hours. I'm sure it will sort itself out, but I kind of wish that I'd waited to watch this series until after it was completed, so I could have binge watched it (and skimmed through meaningless sections). Oh well...

Episode 2: Third loves Khai. Khai treats Third like crap. Third breaks down sobbing.
Episode 3: Third loves Khai. Khai treats Third like crap. Third breaks down sobbing.
Episode 4: Third loves Khai. Khai treats Third like crap. Third breaks down sobbing.
Episode 5: Third loves Khai. Khai treats Third like crap. Third breaks down sobbing.
You're welcome.

Third doesn't need Khai, he needs a therapist.
