Some things that stand out for me about this: -They got the right actors down the physicality. Things like the actor who plays Nagisa's big doe eyes matching the way he longs for Shun or stares out endlessly are just perfect. -Setting was perfect. Summer on a beach is the most magical time in every teenager's life. -Music was beautiful. -I don't think I can say the last time I've fully gotten to know so many characters so well in a miniseries. Nagisa, Shun, Chika (and her parents!), whoever Chika's best friend was, Takashi (my nerdy baby! <3333) . I feel like I really got a very good grasp of their personalities and thoughts of how life should be and I LOVE that about this series.
What could have improved: nothing, imho, BUT if we got a kissing scene at the end with the big pouty lips of the MC, I don't think anyone would complain....because we'd be too busy crying and spewing blood from our noses like Chika. lmao
Totally agree. This drama was everything I wanted my first love to be as a gay teenager. I'm older now, but this type of story will always resonate strongly.
I'm so glad someone else does. I think him, his awkward smile, and his brain are so hot. He deserves much better…
In hindsight, I'd like to think it's probably because he likes subtle aspects of Chika that she doesn't even know she has that make her charming. I think that because of the 'object focus/staring club' was a part of. Maybe he actually does get Chika on a deep level, but he's socially awkward, so it won't come out until Chika opens up to him.
I don't think it's nearly as bad as BL fans keep saying it is. I love the focus on TinCan. Both Mean and Plan…
I agree. They're taking a while to retell the story, but honestly, I'm still enjoying the show. The cute moments, the humor, etc. I really don't think it's as bad as people are making it out to be.
I am so, so, SO happy that New is given the role of an 'a$$hole'. In his most famous roles (in SOTUS, Water boyy, and KMA/DBK), he's basically been the same innocent, soft-spoken guy, but now he's so different and I'm loving it.
No consent is a problem. While it is fiction, it's not OK to just romaticise it. Love by Chance also had a scene…
Agreed. I'm a bit more partial to Tum/Tar than Kla/No, but in general, I think both couples could have been left out and we would have had a great series.
I've just started watching and on episode 2 now and it feels like I'm forcing myself to watch this. Not sure if…
Tbh the real reason I finally watched it is because ran out of other BLs to watch rn. lol I felt like I was forcing myself for part of it too, but it didn’t end up as badly as I thought it could have been.
After five years of knowing it existed and putting off, then dropping it because I thought the first episode was too weird (read: bad), I finally watched this show and I liked it. I wish I would have watched closer to the time that it originally came out (especially since I started watching BLs around that time anyway) so that I could get all those early Thai BL feels I got from Make It Right, but I was still definitely able to appreciate it. I gotta say it didn't really start to take off for me until episode 7. I feel like we should have either seen more Khom's story or just none of it all. All in all, it was nice finally getting around to see the "one that started them all".
I'm lowkey sad we've had to miss out on Lee Jyon Hyuk's beautiful eyes and overall handsomeness for this many episodes, but in general, I'm enjoying this season....even if it is a little messy.
this girl ACTUALLY out here being a detective over some thai bl drama, IM WEAKKKK-- are you done venting? spamming…
I didn't like my own comment. Also, can we talk about how you saw my username and comment marked as a spoiler but still decide to open it and read just to complain about it? So many other people made so many other (much longer) comments and reviews about the topic, but you're up my a$$ and you need to tell me how much you disagree with me. It's an open forum, girl, so go off, I guess, but you're very much a hypocrite. You love and need my comments, so you'll probably make your way around to responding again. I'm done, however. Go enjoy being a POS to some other stranger. <3
I avoided watching it before, but now I'm watching it and I like it. As Liz said, the acting is kinda meh because all the actors are new and the story does seem a bit all over the place, but I just skip over all the parts that don't deal with the main couple.
