I finally finished it and my opinion mostly stayed the same. The only characters I could watch without much discomfort was Tee and Bank. I think Tee‘s actor delivered acting-wise the type of style that the director probably was going for. His acting was a little campy at times but seemed to be done on purpose and he could variate between comedic and serious expression pretty well. Banks actor I liked the most. I think with a just little bit more coaching he could become a real gem and I would die to see him getting a series of his own. The story itself was pretty basic and feels like it rather belongs in 2015 while having a visual style from the 1970ies. The manga certainly had some basic BL tropes and stereotypes but it’s selling point was the comedy which worked extremely well in a manga as a visual medium. In TV it doesn’t really work like that or maybe the director and scriptwriters simply didn’t know how to properly translate that specific comedy style onto the screen, who knows. All around a bit of a disappointment…
You're right about Turbo being miscast. His acting is awkward at best. And he has zero Chemistry with Kao.
Yeah, strangely. I don’t know why they were given specifically these roles. I was curious to see them being cast as a cp after the glimpses we got from Nitiman but they truly have very little chemistry here and I don’t think it’s Kaownahs fault. I know that they have another upcoming series together but now I don’t know how feel about it either…

I do like Gameplay…but after the mess that was Love With Benefits I just can’t bring myself to click on this trailer. It seems like it’s made by the same team? I’m still recovering from their previous work…

Ok I’m not sure how to feel about it. I haven’t finished it yet but I feel like Turbo was horribly miscast here. There are certainly actors who are able deliver over-exaggerated expressions naturally but Turbo doesn’t seem to be one of them. I don’t think he is a bad actor but this role doesn’t seem to suite him. His expressions look weirdly artificial and strangely comical. I cannot take him seriously in this role. Maybe it’ll get better. I’m also not sure what they intend to do with the story, it’s like they want it to be a comedy while at the same time they don’t really want it to be that.
I usually agree with your reviews most of the time but this time I have to disagree with most of it. Peacefully of course :) I have to say though that on one thing I agree 100 percent. Akk absolutely did look like he was carrying all the burdens of the world by his lonesome self lol It was kind of funny and it was very strange that Theo never thought of asking his BF what was going on. Other than that, regardless of how much we agree or disagree it’s always a pleasure to read your humorous reviews. I swear it never fails to put me in a good mood
