It was cute and entertaining! Jun Chang’s quirkiness was really the highlight here.
But really, all the brothers and their LIs were very likable.

I’ve heard that a couple of LBC actors, Mean being one of them, heavily bullied Earth for being gay. After it became public it seems only one of them (Title) apologized for his behavior. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Tbh, it would make me a bit squeamish consuming his works if he truly was involved in the bullying.

I finally finished it and only managed to do so with the help of the 2x speed button. It wasn’t the worst BL I’ve ever seen but it was the most boring one. The main leads had - chemistry and the only type of plot there was, started after ep 10. Nothing of note happened before that. I lol’d a lot at the last 3 episodes though, they were kind of ridiculous. Especially Solos father, like I couldn’t take the dude seriously, pls!

I so agree with you. I don’t remember when I started it but I still can’t seem to finish it. The only reason it’s not on my official dropped-list is bc I don’t want to drop shows. It’s a snooze fest. 0xygen is like warm milk - effectively putting me to sleep.

The ending was good, though I feel like Vee smiled a couple times too many for the twist to really pack a punch. Still loved it.

Ok so I’m late. I overall really liked it but it had a lot of unexplained moments or maybe I’m too stupid to understand them. One of these moments was when the Sister (Vee’s mother) was packing her suitcase and the camera shows her trying to hide sanitary pads or smt similar. Did anyone get why that was shown? I assume it wasn’t just random and must’ve had some meaning but I didn’t get it? So, does it mean that she’s on her period? What does it have to do with the story? I feel like I might be interpreting too much here but it just was very obvious how the camera specifically showed that moment.

I checked it out today after seeing your comment. It was actually amazing! Super funny at times and I very much appreciate the horror theme. BLs usually tiptoe around that genre. That nun-witch fight was truly epic. It had actually quite a number of...memorable moments. Can’t wait for season two. 10/10

But campiness does have different levels of intensity if you will. I’ve liked stuff that many others didn’t and in these cases it’s usually the campiness that cranks up my enjoyment.

Yes! They could and should’ve gone full on camp! Agree lol, his clothing did feel like they were trying to make fun of rich people but not quite managing it.
I actually was really confused when I first watched the trailer bc I couldn’t figure out if Miss Becky was actually played by a man. The only thing that gave it away was the voice. I loved her scenes though, they were great. I wish they’d shown her communicating with animals, like birds or smt. Or stuffing snacks in every part of her clothing even if it didn’t make sense. Generally, just more ott acting.
OMG it would’ve been awesome if they’d shown the evil gf coming up with a plan of making a coat out of Chuckchuk and the others! That would be better than just kidnapping Chukchuk, like wth was that lol?
Damn, so many lost opportunities. They probably thought if it was too campy less people would wanna watch it? Who knows. Campy humor is an acquired taste, I think. But Aki‘s fall was pretty amazing ngl. Was my favorite scene, hands down.

You might be right and Miko may have amazing chemistry with someone else but my problem with the sequel goes beyond that. My main question is why is this sequel needed at all? (apart from money making ofc) Especially if one of the leads is not going to be in at anymore. My Day didn’t end with a cliffhanger, it doesn’t beg for a second season. I’d still be excited if it was Aki and Miko bc I came to associate Sky and Ace with them and liked their dynamic.
If they’re going to recast Ace then that’s going to be disruptive for me as a viewer regardless of how good the chemistry between the new actor and Miko might be. And if they decide to remove Ace from the show by killing him off or breaking them up then it doesn’t make sense to me in regards to the first season. My Day was pretty light-hearted and did have those fairytale vibes with a fairy-tale ending. It’ll be jarring if they end up breaking up (or Ace ends up dying) afterwards. It’s like if Disney’s Beauty and the Beast had a sequel in which the beast died lol, you know what I mean?
Sorry for writing an essay, I’m just trying to explain where me and my complaints are coming from. I know that other people might feel differently about this but that’s my personal opinion.

Nobody knows. Aki had some serious problems with Oxin Films (some comments here touch upon the subject) and said at some point that he won’t be participating in the sequel.
From what I understand, the general consensus seems to be that Aki Torres probably won’t be a part of „My Story“.

My expectations aren’t high either lol
But from what I understand TL and the other one were made by PEPPS not Oxin. Doesn’t mean that this one won’t suck hard tho haha, I’m actually expecting the worst. Partly out of my own protection 🤷‍♀️

It wasn’t the best BL (or even close) but it was memorable, especially bc of their chemistry and how natural them being a couple came across. I was blown away. So unless I actually see Aki I will wait for the reviews first. Then I’ll decide if I want to check it out or not. Having these types of sequels (where leads are suddenly replaced or killed/shipped off) is really taxing for me as a viewer -_-
Considering the sad rain in the teaser I don’t have much hope tho...

I absolutely agree with you on how badly the story’s narrative framed the dark elements. I’m using your words bc I myself couldn’t have phrased it better. The problem is not the fact that they used dark elements but in how they used them. And I’m wondering why they went there anyway bc the story wasn’t in need of them, it had other elements that could’ve been elaborated upon (step-sibling love, parental acceptance of sexuality ect.)
If the scriptwriters wanted to go there, then they should‘ve committed. Either make it dark or make it light, choose a direction ffs. It’s like they kind of wanted to go there but suddenly realized it’s a BL rom-com and stopped midway and turned the violence/stalking/rape elements into a „pure love story“ with half-assed explanations. Their story just didn’t make sense on the believability scale.
