I haven’t seen LBC tbh. After the whole SaintPerth management-fiasco I put it on the back burner and after reading the reviews on LBC2 I decided that probably won’t watch the whole thing at all. They seemed to have butchered the story anyway..
Apart from the non-existent budget, bad camera work, atrocious editing and unintelligible subs the story actually had potential. It could’ve benefited from better, tighter and smoother storytelling but all the milestones were there. It had some interesting concepts like the homophobic director wanting to disband a queer valley ball team and then there was a ghost story (technically two) and stories of different couples getting together. If only the makers could’ve turned all of it into a storyline that coherently connected all these milestones, with preferably one main conflict and a couple of less intense side conflicts. For example we never got closure for Andas story even though the series loved to pretend that we did lol Anda was clearly murdered and nobody even cared to inform the police? Why was she murdered even? Who murdered her? How is this connected to any other conflicts in the story? I also wish all the couples had more depth to them and a more coherent relationship development, especially Mai and Wan. It also didn’t make sense for the director to suddenly do a 180, I get that it happened bc of her son but still it was way to quick. I hope the second season’ll be better.
I’ve heard that a couple of LBC actors, Mean being one of them, heavily bullied Earth for being gay. After it…
Thank you. It’s not always easy to be civil on the internet so thank you for your understanding. As mentioned before I kinda lost my head too haha. I’m glad we got this misunderstanding sorted. And I agree that some of the most interesting comments can be the ones we don’t necessarily agree with. I myself do enjoy some nice comment debates.
Same here lol I don’t even have FB. More like only IG and latety I haven’t been active on there either. I completely understand where you’re coming from and I agree (for the most part) that works should speak for themselves. Sometimes it’s a little hard for me personally to separate the work from the artist but I do try to do that. Not to mention that it’s usually not just one but many people that are involved in the makings and all of them do deserve fair treatment by the audience. For what it’s worth I do have the Yearbook on my Plan-to-watch list.
I get it. I myself have come across these types of rumors and I agree that it’s important to have some kind of proof to back up your claims. Now at least the link is up there thanks to you :D

Okay, let me backtrack a little. When I responded to you first it was a hot-tempered reaction and I apologize for that. I didn’t mean it. Your response wasn’t necessarily nice and my reaction wasn’t either. My second response too wasn’t worded nicely. I would’ve gladly provided you with the link if you’d asked politely. In case you’re wondering why I didn’t provide the link before, it was bc I honestly thought that most people here already knew about the situation as the links can be found on LBC and Means page (here on MDL). Because of that I didn’t really think of providing the link and you’re right I should’ve. I’m normally not a hot-tempered person and don’t want to escalate the situation further. I hope you understand that me not posting the link wasn’t done out of bad intentions. I also hope that you understand that my responses to your comments were mostly knee-jerk reactions

Curb your temper. It’s you who started accusing me instead of asking politely for a link like a adequate person would do. So no need to act up now. And it seems to be you who should cut back on media consumption.
For the first time I watched the interview everyone is talking about, and I don't get the outrage. He was clearly…
I’ve heard that a couple of LBC actors, Mean being one of them, heavily bullied Earth for being gay. After it became public it seems only one of them (Title) apologized for his behavior. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Tbh, it would make me a bit squeamish consuming his works if he truly was involved in the bullying.
I finally finished it and only managed to do so with the help of the 2x speed button. It wasn’t the worst BL I’ve ever seen but it was the most boring one. The main leads had - chemistry and the only type of plot there was, started after ep 10. Nothing of note happened before that. I lol’d a lot at the last 3 episodes though, they were kind of ridiculous. Especially Solos father, like I couldn’t take the dude seriously, pls!
I started watching the on March 22 and just finally finished it today, July 10. In between those months, I've…
I so agree with you. I don’t remember when I started it but I still can’t seem to finish it. The only reason it’s not on my official dropped-list is bc I don’t want to drop shows. It’s a snooze fest. 0xygen is like warm milk - effectively putting me to sleep.
Ok so I’m late. I overall really liked it but it had a lot of unexplained moments or maybe I’m too stupid to understand them. One of these moments was when the Sister (Vee’s mother) was packing her suitcase and the camera shows her trying to hide sanitary pads or smt similar. Did anyone get why that was shown? I assume it wasn’t just random and must’ve had some meaning but I didn’t get it? So, does it mean that she’s on her period? What does it have to do with the story? I feel like I might be interpreting too much here but it just was very obvious how the camera specifically showed that moment.

I checked it out today after seeing your comment. It was actually amazing! Super funny at times and I very much appreciate the horror theme. BLs usually tiptoe around that genre. That nun-witch fight was truly epic. It had actually quite a number of...memorable moments. Can’t wait for season two. 10/10 Thanks for the suggestion btw. I haven’t heard of this series before.

Damn, I literally could hear miss Beckys voice saying that in my head. It sounded great btw. Very in character! They should’ve given us the script lol
Well...I mean, you aren’t wrong 😎 It nourishes me on many levels 💀 But campiness does have different levels of intensity if you will. I’ve liked stuff that many others didn’t and in these cases it’s usually the campiness that cranks up my enjoyment.
