A cute little movie. If you have time to spare give it a chance. It’s no masterpiece but it’s uncomplicated and sweet!

What have we not seen here that was already portrayed in other BLs? Popular bakery with skilled and hot pastry chefs? check!
Antisocial asshole of a love interest? Check!
Happy go lucky super nice protagonist? Check!
Forced jealousy /love triangles? Check
To make the assholish love interest seem less of an asshole they had to make another character even worse bc this trope sadly hasn’t died yet. For once I wish the protagonist would end up with the social and optimistic rival instead of the asshole/introvert, moody type of guy. For some reason this is almost never the case. Just for once, can it be the other way around??
Anyway, I have nothing against the actors, I think most of them did alright (especially Atom). I didn’t feel much of a chemistry between the couple but I can’t say if it’s bc they truly lacked one or if it’s bc of the boring plot. I have to say though, if there are victims of type-casting (and BL is known to have many of them) Ohm would be my number one victim. The dude gets the most identical, unemotional, cold and unlikable roles in BLs. I hope he’ll manage to get away from this cursed circle of casting.

Very uninspired story and Liu Li is as bland as a stick. I wish Gu Jing and the teaching assistant were endgame! There was so much more chemistry between them than either of them had with the stick.
Also, what was the reason for not having a secondary couple? Would have spiced up the blandness and they had plenty of characters to choose from.

You’re so right! None of the premise makes even an ounce of sense. It feels like each different writer was given one episode to write and all of them wrote something different and it was later simply strung together to fool the audiences lol
Also, just bc Charlie stole Babe‘s powers he didn’t even need to seriously practice? That’s such a cop out. Mary-Sue treatment at its finest.

Cooking Crush should end tomorrow so that’s gonna be my next show but I’m so very excited for Sign too! That‘s been my most anticipated show for months! That and Dead Friend Forever. Can’t wait to binge these! I actually have a good feeling about them. Fingers crossed 🤞

I loved the first third of the show but then the pacing kind of started dragging and it became a bit too preachy for my liking. Still, overall I liked it quite a bit and this rating is a travesty!

Absolutely! I was really confused when Jeff and Alan ran away leaving the kids alone and at first I thought they’ll return later or maybe that they have another plan to save the kids but nothing really happened after that. Also, the fact that they killed Tony instead of suing him kind of defeats the purpose of the entire plan.
Because Tony can’t be brought to justice anymore, all of his rich clients will get off scot-free. I know that Sonic and co. uploaded some videos of Tony abusing the children but now that he’s dead what’s stopping all these other super rich dudes from making a dead man a scape goat? Considering that Thailand is known for being very corrupt they‘ll just buy anyone off. The children that were already sold will keep being slaves to these people. This is so very sad..,and the fact that the guys were celebrating Tony’s death without a care for these children is insane. Goes against everything that they planned to do.
They wanted to bring Tony to justice but eventually it was vigilante justice that they achieved. Nonsensical writing.

Same here. I’ve noticed this trend of selling mostly NC scenes that are enveloped in some horrible writing that’s full of plot holes and nonsense dialogue. I‘ve always wanted BL to go beyond simple romance and incorporate other themes like did Manner of Death or Triage or KP or Not Me etc but those shows actually incorporated other genres well into the romance and Pit Babe (or Lita) did the exact opposite. Their main selling point was NC with some (badly written) romance and they used the other elements as cool aesthetics with little to no bearing on the plot (if you can even call it that). Very disappointing.
Payu and Rain had the same problem as Babe and Charlie. It’s instalove with no depth :( There was no real plot there, just beautiful racing shots haha.
I’ve given Pit Babe 2 stars for Pavel and Winner bc I liked their acting 🤷‍♀️ But yeah, Nut and Pavel should’ve been endgame. That reminds me of how Way,when he was dying, asked Babe if he loved him and Babe just ignored it lol I found it so funny for some reason.

Ok so I’ve finally finished this mess of a show!
There’s so much to say about the plot but nothing here makes any real sense anyway so I’ll try to keep it short lol

First of all I love how there’re suddenly super new drugs in production (wherever) that very conveniently can suppress Alphas powers 😏 I don’t think these drugs were ever mentioned before so kudos for the fAnTaStiC build-up!
Love how since they saved Kim he is just randomly hanging around in their headquarters doing nothing! They could’ve given how a lot more agency but that would require some proper writing so I get why they didn‘t.
Also, what bothered me a great deal was how the character just seemed to change their opinions at the drop of a hat. Way wanted to reproduce with Babe while being loyal to Daddy and suddenly he was on the good guys side again…why? After Pete said to him a sentence or two?
It was funny how Babe screamed that he wouldn’t work with Way ever again and literally 2 seconds later he was like „okay, it’s fine,I’ll do it“.
Kenta too was weirdly loyal to Daddy (knowing all the horrible stuff that he‘s done) but then he still went to the meeting with the guys just to say that he wouldn’t betray his Dad and then ended up betraying him anyway XD And I understand that it’s possible to change one’s mind but there was so little build up and depth to what seemed to be super sudden changes that I just couldn’t take any of it seriously.

That’s a bit of a random but aren’t there any women in this universe? I guess I’ve seen some female forms but I thought it was so strange that none of Tony’s kids seemed to be girls? Like there are only boy alphas. Are women somehow incapable of having any supernatural powers in this world?
Also, what actually happened to the little boy that helped them out when they infiltrated someplace (Tony’s Headquarters or whatever it was) in ep 9 or 10? Babe told him that he’ll help him or something but we never see him again. Tony may be dead but that kid was already sold and another rich dude‘s slave. Did he just stay that way? Maybe you caught something that I didn’t bc I don’t have the patience to rewatch any of the episodes.

Going back to Way and Pete, I totally agree with you! They certainly tried to imply something more by giving them screen time and a weirdly romantic atmosphere. It never went anywhere though. Pete and Kenta were super disappointing for me bc what even was that lol??? They randomly kissed one time years back and never talked about it again. We don’t even see them properly interact with each other after Kenta killed Daddy. What’s that all about? Why even introduce any of it if you’re gonna drop all of it anyway?
Way‘s death felt stupid to me. I don’t think it was necessary but even if they decided to go that route he was killed in such a silly way bc it looked like he decided to just change hiding spots at the worst time possible and was shot bc of his incompetence. There was no need for him to run to Babe. They both seemed to be behind a cover so Tony was just shooting randomly. It’s not like Way sacrificed himself for anyone …it was his stupidity that killed him (at least that’s how it seemed to me)… what a ridiculous way to die.

Anyway, share your thoughts! I’m done with shit sh*t. Now onto other (hopefully better) shows

He looks so much much like Oab (the Blue Hour)!! I genuinely thought it was him when I watched Pit Babe.

I just finished ep 10 and was excited bc I thought I had only two eps left but now I realise this drama has 13 😭
Man, what a messy ride! I couldn’t take almost anything seriously these couple episodes lol I was genuinely laughing at the most inappropriate times.
The fact that Way is the Enigma that Babe is supposed to reproduce with is kinda crazy 0_0 Again, I might’ve misunderstood but since when did Way started working for Tony? From the start? That’s the reason how the both of them managed to flee? If that was the plan all along then why did Way do nothing all the years to seduce Babe? Yeah, he was secretly in love but how did he expect for the plan to work if he didn’t do anything in that regard? Especially if Babe didn’t seem interested himself. That’s so weird but maybe I got it wrong…
Anyway, Way being the Enigma and a traitor (in Babes eyes) kinda feels like an eleventh hour twist…I wish they’d have build it up more (maybe with flashbacks or some such) to truly understand Ways position in the story bc on one hand he is a traitor but on another hand he says he loves Babe and never wished him any harm? It’s so polarising and there is no depths or proper explanation for Ways feelings/decision making. Idk, I don’t feel particularly good about this lol it’s weird.

You mentioned a third couple but I haven’t seen any sparks yet…probably happens in ep 11? Who is the third couple? The only ones I want to become a couple is Pete and Kenta. They had a couple seconds of explosive chemistry in the 8ths (?) episode and I want more of that. I don’t feel Sonic and North either btw…also why not try to divide the screen time more equally if you decided to include three to four couples? It’s like most of the time is wasted on Babe and Charlie (for no good reason), a little bit of Jeff and Alan and only seconds on North and Sonic? And why introduce a new couple so late in the game? 🙈
And one more thing. How old is Alan supposed to be for everybody to call him “uncle”? Lol The group treats him like he is from the last century 😂😂 They treat him like he is an old man, can’t flirt and is super old fashioned! Never fails to crack me up. Especially when Jeff treats him this way…wtf

I couldn’t bring myself to watch it yesterday (lol) but I’ll continue watching today. I agree about the s*x scenes, thry leave me completely cold. There is no tension, no emotional value in their relationship, just superficial sugary sweetness (which is another thing that I dislike) and therefore watching their nsfw scenes makes me as a excited as looking at a brick wall.

Yup, the a number of actors are actually good (especially Michael) and I enjoyed them in other shows and it’s such a shame to see them here portraying such lackluster characters.
Ohhh yes, I agree completely that Pavel and Nur have much more chemistry!! I actually have been wanting for them to get together since ep. Their romance would make much more sense too and would be so much more exciting than random s*x and instalove. There is so much more tension and backstory between them, it’s such a shame, really.

Concerning the Alpha/Enigma thing I know that the story is based on an Omegsverse novel (where Omega/Enigma can get pregnant) but I thought the production said that they would remove that part of the story but it’s obviously implied that Enigmas can get pregnant and that really took me out. I personally don’t like Omegaverse but I thought it was alright since they decided to change it but now it’ still a part of the story? Idk that much tbh…maybe I misunderstood what exactly they wanted to change.
I don’t know if Way is an Enigma but that would be somewhat strange… How would sending Charlie would make Babe have Children with Way ?? It’s just so weird. . Also, why the hell did Tony even send Charlie in place of an Enigma to make out with Babe? It would’ve made a lot more sense story-wise if Charlie was an Enigma ( I don’t like mpreg but if that’s main plot point Charlie being an Enigma is the only thing that makes sense writing-wise)…do you disagree ? I feel like I’m losing my train of thought sorry lol

Yeah, I totally get you! I’m on ep 8 as you mentioned, and Babe is still very much in love ( still no reason for why exactly lol). There have been a couple of conflicts Aand I guess that’s what the screen time is used for.

Tbh I’m not too keen on any of the characters, maybe with the exception of Way but that’s also mainly in comparison to the others. I still don’t feel Jeff and Alan, I don’t hate them but I have zero investment in them as a couple. Alan is another character that is kind of annoying… I kinda want to like him but I just can’t…(same with North and Sonic…they are just randomly there lol) Sometimes I guess they are used for exposition or explanation in case the audiences didn’t understand what is going on with story, which is kinda fair bc the story is all over the place.

And, yeah. The story did take a very weird turn! Now it’s less car racing and more X men 😂 The writing and pacing is just so messy :(
But keep me updated :D

Same 😁 I really dislike dropping shows. Only dropped a couple so far but I somehow managed to get through Gen Y (on double speed, mind you lol).
Hmm, yeah it’s similar in my case. Maybe I incorrectly explained myself. I became more tolerant towards certain topics like infidelity (and othervstuff that used to be my pet peeves) but I also became more annoyed by some other tropes.

Babe is still randomly in love with Charlie and Charlie has as much of a personality as brick wall and it doesnt help that Charlie’s actor doesn‘t emote.At this point I only watch for Pavel. I also don’t particularly like the second couple so far (I find Jeff highly unlikable) but that a very subjective opinion.
I‘ve seen from your other comment that you didn’t like LITA and I didn’t like it either and Pit Babe reminded me so much of it from the first ep! I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t like these highly popular BLs 😁

Thank you for saying that!!!I started this show today and from ep 1 Poohs acting struck me as, um, not good (putting it mildly). It’s especially painfully visible when he acts alongside Pavel who is quite good in this role!

I am in a very similar predicament! I‘m 4 episodes in and I really REALLY dislike Charlie (and imo Charlie’s actor…isn’t that good of an actor.) I also dislike instalove so..yeah. Babe’s feelings make no sense to me. Pavel is awesome in this though and that’s literally the only reason I’m hanging on. Pavel = 10/10 : Charlie -1/10
I’m struggling

What an incredibly weird anthology. Some stories felt more finished than others but they all felt more or less like pilots of what could be longer shows, with similar themes but explored in more depths. The only ones I can recommend are „Lucky Love“ and „Merry Go Round“. The others range from somewhat watchable to avoid at all casts.
