Congratulations to Last Immortal opening up with 6.1 rating on the critic Hate full War zone Chinese rating app…
I didn't know the average xianxia is rated so low (in the 5s). What was Ashes to Love's Douban opening rating? What is the Grand Dame of them all, Eternal Love's rating?

It’s because too many ridiculous haters around to attack the drama page with their non senses since day 1….…
I really don't know or understand much about that stuff. I joined because I wanted to talk about the drama as it progressed, episode by episode. It was fun. I'm staying just to check the reviews and to look at the BTS links some viewers are posting (some of the parodies are so fun to watch!).

I don't think I've attacked anyone either. Mostly, I reply to posts that have some points with which I didn't think was fair, like this one with the main attack on Lu Si's acting. I hardly comment if the person gives an opinion about ALP or CGI or GuJin's character any more. In the beginning, yes, because I was watching the show along with the comments, so we were just discussing with the flow of the narrative. Besides, the discussion was very lively then, with specific episode examples, without the weird general declarations that I see now.
Umm there's a synopsis and some reviews up there for more information. But if you have any specific questions,…
No, there is a synopsis of the plot right up there under the poster of the drama. It's a xiangxia--a fantasy, with immortals. Do you like this genre? If you've watched a xianxia before, you'd know what the usual story line consists of.
This is such a waste of lu si and wang an yu! Funny how a lot of you felt the need to defend this and attack anyone…
I have to disagree with a couple of your points. First, Lu Si DID carry this drama. She carried it like a pro with FOUR personalities and voices, but you just want to criticize her first "baby hatchling" voice and not give her any credit for her three others. Second, are you saying you didn't root for her in this drama? Umm. Did you watch all the episodes? Not one made you teary-eyed and rooting for her to come back to kick ass? Not one? Hmm. There is nothing wrong with dropping a drama because it wasn't your cuppa and I wouldn't have said anything if you had brought up CGI or ALP or pacing or character or whatnot, but your specifically using Lu Si's acting as your main reason is puzzling at best. Because from where I sit, Lu Si's made this drama. Her acting has certainly improved a lot since LBTI (your eg). Her four facets here--baby Yin, TeenYin, babyYing and QueenYing certainly showcased her acting abilities.
just a random question, is dong hua the same character with the one in eternal love and eternal love and dream…
Yes, same mythology background. Most of the xianxias are based on Chinese mythology, using Taoist gods/immortal names and borrowing their stories from ancient text. You can Google Dong Hua to read up on his other ancient names and his history.
I can't get over those times when Yuanqi calls Fengyin "夫人 (Fūrén)" meaning Honey / Wife. And the way he…
I love that he got his sparkle back those few episodes. I really missed it. You can actually see the difference between GuJin's joy of life and the heavy mantle of the 1000 years after of YuanQi in the last episode's dream sequence when he returned as GuJin.
After watching eps 39, I understand that the drama title "The Last Immotal" refers to A Yin who was the last disciple…
I think there are many hidden gods in this drama. GuJin, obvious AhYin with the hidden last soul piece Ao Ge/Xi Yan hidden away Hua Mo secretly cultivated, hiding away Minqqi who is the god of death and according to Shanggu, is why he is the only one who could resurrect Yuanqi (book, epilogue).
The Last Immortal — the English titles are always so random to me. If they really wanted that to reflect the drama, why didn’t they change the Chinese Shen Yin, which is Hidden God?
But your guess is pretty good 😃 since Ah Yin is the last one standing after putting down all her critics and enemies. I will take it! 😙
I was going to say something similar to this but damnn, there is a whole firing squad ready to kill anything,…
And who’s starting WW3? Didn’t I begin with “I respectfully disagree?” You were posting an essay of which caught my attention, enough so that I thought it merit a reply. Or I wouldn’t have wasted my time writing a lengthy comeback. I would have scrolled on by like with the others.
