Don’t worry I think the author knows what she’s doing. It’s kinda the main plot point here that the imbalance of their career/earning is what shaking their relationship. For Kiyoi, working hard and earn enough for Hira to never have to worry about life is the goal but for Hira, He felt like a burden. Smth they need to talk and understand each other. Hira doesn’t stay jobless, boy is talented himself but he’s too negative to try.

Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since Hira is like his house husband lol but Hira still do photograph tho he just lack of confidence to work. I haven’t look at book 3 but I heard from reader that Hira will join contest or smth to boost his career as photographer.

Personally think this mini drama deserves an award for being so intense and addictive that even people who HATE it still run head first to watch every week just to negatively interpret it and lecture others lmao

I think that’s the starting point of this relationship, childish attraction between 2 teenagers because they are what each other need. This is why Book 1 (Utsukushii Kare) is all about this obsession and unhealthy attraction and less romance while the real romance development between them as adults start from Book 2 (Nikurashii Kare) and book 3 and so on.

First of all, the stereotype of only tiny girly gay be bottom is gross and annoying, and they treat those dude like a girl that’s why they think it’s okay to be violent for no reason to the top because it’s cute. For kicking scene, Hira kinda ask for it to pull a drunk man to talk to him when he’s already irritated.

I like Jdrama for years bc of hairstyle idk why lol everyone seems to be styled different and it’s part of their character. They styled to be different, not to be pretty and all the same as everyone else.
