Knowing him from Utsukushii Kare and I ended up watching most of his drama/movies from this list since he was a child actor lol

Didn’t expect a lot of upvote for my review. Just want to clarify, This is just personal opinion and I like the series so I gave it a high rating. I’m not professional critic so this might not be accurate score but I rate according to how much I like it. The best is to watch and Judge by yourself ^^

Yeah It was frustrating at first bc people refuse to understand the story and judge it quickly but Now it’s finished and got great praises and sale on the asian audience side so that’s the only thing that matter. I just feel bad for some who might like a good story but skipped it bc of the bad reviews.

That‘ s the thing with Tsundere 😂 you either hate them or like them. Personally I don’t really like all Tsundere but I know their charm, they are difficult to get into relationship but once they got in, they gave their lover everything despite their hard shell. That’s basically Kiyoi in the sequel lol

Yeah basically just depend on taste. For me I just like the novel and the audio drama that came before this adaptation (which I only checked bc of the drama) so I stay attached to it longer but to a lot of drama-only viewers, it's just another drama.

I don’t think this drama is THAT hated by viewers even though there’s a lot of misunderstandings and misinterpretation as well as some weird made up rumors by tiktok people who didn’t even read novel lol compare to J series like the novelist/playback movie with much lower rating which also was well made with serious acting, great cinematography but more adult theme and difficult/bitter to watch, Utsukare is doing well.

I guess it’s just the point of the story that we found him a bit annoying/hateful in book 2 (that’s why it’s called Nikurashii Kare) but at the same time we just had to root for them because we saw how they try to be together and they made it work between themselves. We are just outsiders 😆

LOL i can’t help, I still can’t decide if I like Hira or annoyed with him after I know the second story of this. I think I can say that If Kiyoi is my son who I cherished a lot and feel bad he’s working so hard for a relationship, Hira is my son’s Kimoi boyfriend who I can’t understand but also I can’t say anything bad because they made it work and they are happy together, Kiyoi wouldn’t be happy with others like he said in Utsukare that there are many better men out there but Hira is the only one for him. Not that Kiyoi is perfect though, He got a lot to improve and being with his Kimoi bf actually helped. If people expect Hira to magically change in season 2, they should just drop it, These two will be old wrinkle men in 50 years together and Hira will still be the weirdo like he was in high school and Kiyoi will still call him Kimoi affectionately lmao

Took a peek into Nikurashii Kare (second part of the novel, sequel to where this drama ended) novel and CD but not entirely because I still want to enjoy fully if it gets properly translated. What i can say is that, while people here expected Hira to completely changed and stop worshipping after this season finale confession, you should expect differently lol It wouldn’t be that easy for him to shake off his whole personality even becoming couple with his king, they will have things to overcome and communicate more serious things than just high school stuff and confessing I love you, especially Hira’s negative thoughts in his relationship and job. But It’s so well written, that even tho Hira is so ‘Kimoi’ and It makes me feel bad for Kiyoi who’s so desperate to keep them together, I can’t help but root for them and I’m always proud to see them helping each other grow. Taking a look at it only make me want season 2 of this drama even more, there’s so much to see in their strange romance.

Sharing my thoughts after looking a bit into sequel story of this, Nikurashii Kare Novel and CD.

I feel like I’m invading their privacy by watching the video recording of their date 😂 still so cute; making me want to see actual HiraKiyo dating in the sequel.

Lol i feel the same, IT took me awhile to finish watching. I think not just Hira looking more like Riku but also bc the two of them are Not being serious or in character here 😂 they are just having fun so it’s more of Yusei and Riku hangout instead of HiraKiyo

Koyama is their family name, If i remember right the older brother’s name was Koyama Yohei

It’s not an episode, it was a few minutes clip of them dressing up and went on cheesy date, it’s only available for Japanese fans on their paid app since last week.

I'm not offended by any bad comments here, just observe and give information from source material, but you should expect reactions after coming to their very own page to say something like that or compare to a complete opposite drama especially for this drama that was blindly attacked by hates here since Episode 1 aired and only got better in the end lol people get defensive and it's normal.

Lol even worse on twitter someone even got mad that Utsukare got kiss scene and Kiekoi didn’t. It’s stupid since I’m a big fan of Kiekoi manga they adapted the way the source material was. Why the need to compare a soft shoujo with an adult novel?

I don’t watch a lot of BL and male tsundere is getting rare these days I can only think of We best love series. It’s super popular but it started with a bit of bully/prank and blackmail trope enemies to lovers. But it’s good.

For me here part of Asia , public school usually don’t have camera and the lock are given to class president or student who has to clean the class in early morning so sometime wasn’t used properly and people snuck in to do something easily (speaking from my experience as student who saw some mess in the morning caused by people who broke in 🥶)

I think I remember him saying that he likes doing differnt roles to challenge himself 😂 so yup we won’t see him doing romance anytime, just suffering lol
