I'm only on episode 2, but does she really understand the consequences of trying to prevent her parents from forming…
She understands the consequence of her actions by trying to break her parents up. She even said in the first episode if she could go back in time she will stop her mother from loving her and her father, which means she will rather not exist than have her mother live the 'miserable' life she did. The moment she knew she can change the present, she became more persistent on this goal.
I didn't find her stupid for calling a teenager "mum", because the last thing she saw in the present was her mother's death. She spent the first episode and the second episode shocked to be in the past and just overjoyed to see her mother and a chance to stop her mother living the 'miserable' life she does in the present.
Love that the son created the time machine. But now I really want to know how they originally met in their sons timeline because he said something along the lines of "if two people are meant to be together they will always get together as you did in this time", meaning they once got together in the present without the time travel.
I liked the acting in this drama, watched it for Lee Donghae, but the writing is terrible. The FL has no charecter development, she was kind of a bitch to the ML and doesn't really treat him any better in the present. The ML kept coming back for her when it should have been her chasing him at the end because honestly he deserved better. The SFL, I mean what was with her, she was just WEIRD. Everything she did could have, and did backfire on her, but she could have ruined everything for herself (her job, fame etc) for trying to chase the ML the way she was. The SML was probably the only character that made some sense, he left the FL alone after she rejected him and then went on to do his own projects.
Yes his soul fragment is in the shell and he'll come back after 1000 yrs. The child is TTJ and LSS after their…
TJJ self destruction is the part I don't get. It is mentioned that his soul perished with the devil god, it even showed his soul vanishing, similar to how the devil god's did in the dream. How is there still a fragment left for him to be reborn.
I wasn't expecting an understandable ending, nor a happy one. But this ending, at first I thought it was sad, I thought he died and his soul perished. But then, who is that child, why does she call Li Susu mother, how does she exist, and is Tantai Jin's soul somehow in that stone? I just need his soul to not have perished. I would have been happier had they both perished together.
The ML gives me the ick, I don't like him and I don't like the FL because she likes him. Dropping this after 3 episode, would have continued if the ML was the SML.
Too mature, but the drama is about more than a romance. You will like it.
They cut off a lot of the kissing scenes. The behind the scenes and deleted scenes had some good romance scenes. They were very obviously cut out of the drama and leave a sort of gap.
I decided to check this out given that Wang Hedi is the ML. It's a plus that it's a romcom. However, after watching…
I just finished it. I wouldn't say it's a romcom, there were funny moments, but thinking back to it, I litterally can't remember any of the funny moments. It gets better from episode 2 onwards, episode 1 is mostly just context and I almost dropped it after that episode.
I didn't feel bad for the King at all. Despite that fact that he was used by other people to get on the throne. He made all the choices himself, he was just as cruel as the Empress. I am not sure if he and the Empress were blood relatives, but they were exactly alike when it came to their cruelty. He reminded me a lot of the King from "The King's Women", but he was a lot me meek and cowardly in comparison, but just as cruel. He was a million times more unlikeable as well, he wasn't even a good ruler and he didn't know the FL at at. His obsession was endless and made no sense.
I read comments about the ending not being good. But I really LIKED the ending. It was satisfying and happy. They ran away together as the planned throughout the drama, and all the other couples stayed together happily, alive. Also, the King is very likely dead so he can't ruin anything else. The next in line is likely to be the Princess, her child, or even the Prince (since his brother would have been able to rightfully take the throne had the King died, there is no reason to assume that he cannot do the same).
I loved the relationship between Xiao Chuhe and Xiao Chong throughout this drama despite them having many reasons to despise each other they ALWAYS stood together.
I loved how the emperor wrote TWO decrees and gave it to both sons naming the other as emperor. Xiao Chong was so shocked and happy by his brother making him emperor (before he had the chance to make Chuhe emperor). That scene was AMAZING. Seeing Chuhe bow to Chong (for the first time), the acceptance and love in Xiao Chong's eyes and top of all of that Xiao Chong's name as emperor was EMPEROR CHONGHE, same "he" 河 as Chuhe, he combined their names to be his name as emperor. Their brotherly love was everything.
2 endings (one in episode 39 and the other in episode 40. I suppose one is happier than the other for the Man Leads. Sort of an open happy ending in both for the leads.
I've seen many clips from Yuoku about this drama, but they always list it as a 2022 drama and their videos on Tiktok and Youtube make it seem like it is already out (and completed), but they haven't released any of it!! When are they going to release this drama?
I actually liked all of the characters, other than the older sect sister. Even A Fu didn't annoy me much. This so the first time I am reading through the comments, bad no idea so many people hated his charecter. He got everthing that was coming for him in episode 35. I also really liked the immortal story arc. I liked how we had 13 episodes of the Mortal arc and then a completely different arc, it was a nice change. And I love that we slowly got to love Lou Ge and accept that he is also Lu Li whilst he also started to accept it. This drama had a nice pace, though I wanted to see more of the God of Moonlight and a lot more of Black Moonlight, I love how Black Moonlight wore God of Moonlight's clothes. I just did not understand the 2 episode ending. Episode 39 and 40 seem to have completely different plots that don't corelate, which is my only issue with the drama. I prefer the ending of episode 39 despite losing He Na.
