I’ve seen kids in worse situation so I don’t have any sympathy for him. He’s not a kid anymore either. He’s a grown man yet he acts like a kid. It’s like he doesn’t even have a moral compass to actually feel guilt after the terrible things he did to others.

So Moon Shik is saying everybody hates him as if he didn’t do anything to make them feel that way. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I guess nobody taught him that yet I should think it’s common sense.

Nam Goong Min is looking especially handsome in this drama. Even his hair is shining. LOL

Zhu Lin Lu and Nan Xian are rivals because their companies compete in the same market.

The main storyline which involves Nan Xian and Wen Nuan seem to be about a tragedy from their past and how that tragedy has affected them as adults today. The two are at odds because in the past Wen Nuan dumped Nan Xian without a proper explanation and it seemed to have affected him deeply over 7 years.

On the other hand, whatever tragedy that forced Wen Nuan to breakup with Nan Xian has also affected her terribly to the point that she has even forgotten some of the memory. For example, in episode 1 we saw she had a brief flashback of her sister lying on the floor with a slashed wrist. Her sister quickly denied the memory. That hints that there is something that the sister is hiding that Wen Nuan has blocked from her memory perhaps because of her inability to cope.

That said, as the synopsis above suggest, because Nan Xian and Wen Nuan were deeply in love, well matched and even supported by their parents, this story seem to be about the twists and turns that they experience as the mystery behind their breakup is revealed. Only time will tell if their love would have a happy end.

Actually, all the clues were already shown in flashback. In episode 1 when Wen Nuan touched her sister’s wrist and saw the scar while putting on the watch, she had a flashback of the sister lying on the floor with blood on her wrist. There was also a flashback of the sister confessing to Nan Xian and Wen Nuan saw it from the upstairs window in the house. Put these two together and one more scene and it tells a story of Wen Nuan breaking up with him because of her sister.

I think it’s because of the sister. It seemed like she was in love with Nan Xian and she confessed to him and was rejected. She probably attempted suicide and Wen Nuan decided to break up with him.

Yes, I saw she submitted her resignation. I really don’t understand why she can’t just tell him she missed him just like he’s been saying to her if she would only read between the lines.

Which episode are you on? I agree to...they seriously lack communication.

I really love her acting. From the first time I saw her in The Four I thought she was quite natural. I do wonder why she isn’t more popular.

Episode 16 looks intense. Things are heating up.

I’m glad that you and I recognize Nan Xiang is a good guy. The conversations with the turtle pretty much shows us that he still cares very much for her and is trying to get her to be stronger and more assertive. Still, even if his feelings towards her has some resentment, I think that would only be natural considering he said he never understood why she broke up with him.

I’m also glad Zhang Han has this role. Most of the roles I have seen him in are cold tactiturn roles.

I had mixed feelings about Nan Xian at the beginning too but I never doubted that he still loved her. Even though he was cold, I recognized that both characters were suffering from something that happened to them 7 years before and the flashbacks just reinforced that episode by episode.

It looks like tension with his mother is the next complication in the plot. Ultimately it just might be easier to give up. I wonder what Wen Nuan will do.

This pretty much covers what has been revealed so far and the glimpses we get in the trailer. There seems to be a lot of emotional wreckage simmering beneath the surface. Wen Nuan really seems traumatized and ready to fall apart, which really tug at my heartstrings. I’m looking forward to seeing her normal again.

Nan Xian may be cold at times but he’s also clearly suffering as well. I can only imagine how painful it must have been for him to be dumped without a proper explanation especially when he was so much in love and thought it was mutual. Imagine all the different emotions he must have experienced over the years trying to figure out what went wrong. He must have felt resentful, angry, misused, misled, etc. It’s no wonder then that they’re both stuck on the past.

Yeah, that’s what I got from the hints too. And now it seems that Wen Nuan left China without even telling her sister. They are revealing buts and pieces.

I think it’s so weird that he doesn’t look her up in his time. It gives rise to a few suspicions. I’m waiting for the revelation to confirm or deny them.

Her family is the pits. They keep making trouble for her. I really want her to cut them off but I guess that’s too far fetched considering it’s a Korean drama which means she must perpetually sacrifice for her good for nothing family. The family is so undeserving of a daughter and a sister like Seung Joo.
