I think there is a twin brother because of the photo and also her bestie of 20 years based on her character would not act so clueless and innocent. I think the bestie does not want them to know about the twin brother.If there is not twin why did he not recognise the neighbour and why does he not wear glasses, what was with taking off the watch in the car.Anyway we are in for some FL psychotic behaviour, please ask your husband and friend dont just hint and attack them.What does have me confused is the little girl at the apartment, did the real husband need help babysitting, that one has thrown me.Any suggestions?

So sad about QingLans parents, I knew they were unhappy together just did not realise they had already divorced, what a great character this kid is, as are all of them really. Such a pleasure to watch how these kids manoeuvre the pitfalls of their lives. The bonding together to discover the truth and save Lei Mings reputation was so heartwarming.

2023 hands down best drama of the year and it has also introduced us to one of the best characters I have ever seen development wise and charismatic wise and that is Xiang Liu/ FFB. I have rewatched series 1 many times and am anxiously awaiting series 2, heartbreaking scenes and all. I hope they do not change the story too much from the novel unless they give us an alternate partner for XY.

Teachers definitely meet at their institution and date it’s quite normal, I just meant that they would in my mind not propose on stage like that.

I definitely prefer him with the Literature teacher if we have to have romance. The kids romance although very touching is totally unnecessary at this stage. I feel the drama has enough going for it without pairing everyone off. Although I did find the teacher on stage proposal quite amusing but highly unlikely especially in our education system here.

I’m really not loving the Lei Ming with Sang Xia romantic arc, I was praying the writers would not mess up this great drama with something so obvious. There is something about Sang Xias character which makes me really uneasy watching her.

Yeah 👍 I got that, still her husband aswell, why did they not throw in a white truck running her over at the same time ? Probably in a later episode I guess.

What prompted her to hack into his phone etcWhat now they suspect her stepfather after her mother was admitted into hospital not once but 3 times of poisoning??? And they only just want to investigate???Her colleague accidentally or mistakenly leaves a parking ticket under her bin for her to find ??? Hilarious 😹 how obvious!!!AND she runs out all by herself in the dark flailing around just to be stalked, murdered, drowned, whatever!!!Cmon writers, you can do better than this

Agreed, at the time I thought why is he running, totally unrealistic, little things like that gave me many eyebrow raising moments 😳🤔
That is why I rated this drama a little lower, the leaf 🍁 scene rates it a 10 for humour though 😂

There is a bit of a wuxia drought on as the year nears its end, so I just binged 10 episodes of this 2017 version of Condor Heroes and I have to say , not bad actually, liking it better than the 2008 version so far.

Ep 19 so many feel good moments.
The stuttering scene with the history teacher was so well done, it would be great if all teachers were as understanding and unique in their teaching methods.

Yes agreed, that is how it is here. One particular university where my eldest attended had a majority of Chinese students. Hence we cater for a large Chinese population .

I see all that in the drama, thank you for elaborating further, so Zhixiang is really like a private school, thats the one thing I couldn’t quite get a grasp on. Well I guess I fell for the Zhixiang in my country and we have many Chinese students at our universities here that pay huge fees so it is quite interesting how people get around the crackdowns.

Thank you for clarifying, I agree, I would just love them to get into college, any college and out of the suffocating environment they are coming from.
It is a world wide problem that mainly the rich or exceptionally talented get into the best schools. I do feel for these kids as if I am part of their success story, so I guess the actors have done an amazing job to have us so invested in them. Both my girls have diplomas and degrees but I had to pay for their education before they entered university and I feel educated should be equal for everyone.
Another minor point whilst we are discussing this drama, I really really hope Lei Ming and SangXia do not become an item, its creeps me out, don’t know why .
