Very sweet. But you know, THROWING OUT your baby book, especially when you didn't know your mom very well??? Throwing out your dad's journal, where he specifically wrote to you???? I mean, NO. NADA. Ridiculous. That cookbook would have a treasured place in my kitchen. It's one thing that she hadn't even got rid of his clothes or all his work documents (kudos for our househelper dude for FINALLY mentioning donated stuff - good grief) - quite another to keep some personal journals.
Sticking to it though it's a tad boring. The subjects matter or issues pertain to everyday life are 10 years behind…
Oh, dear. Look, just because these issues might have been more timely 10 years ago in the US has NOTHING to do with being timely in South Korea. This is a KOREAN show, and these issues are very MUCH timely there - cutting edge in some cases. Good grief:( As for HSJ - he's just perfect for this part!
No, I think you've got the 'kiss' thing (really, the stupidity to act like CPR is a kiss overwhelms me) backwards…
The show most certainly does deem it a kiss so one has to go with that in formulating theories. I don't know which is the 'fated' guy - I'm just sure she'll end up w/our main lead regardless. Obviously the witches in this show DON'T use their powers to make themselves rich LOL or protect themselves. Plus I completely doubt our witchy boy has a CLUE about his powers - it's all subconscious.
Quite frankly, that was completely normal for that time period. Think of it as being real for the time period.…
Uh, I never said it was just a few years. I SAID that the actual age difference (yep, about 20 years) was fairly NORMAL for that time period. People just can't deal with reality in historical productions, I notice. It's not necessary to have ONLY the negatives, or try to force ALL the negatives of an era, but to ignore the realities of those times when it's a natural outgrowth o f the plot is nonsense. This man needs to be in his late 30s at the very least (the character) for the timeline to make any sense at all. The girl on the other hand needs to be young, and even then notice that the writer took great care explaining why she's still unmarried at the age of 20!!!! All of history must make you uncomfortable.
Can I just say I agree with Granny that Alain Delon blows both Brad Pitt AND George Clooney out of the water? Go look up pics of that man in his prime!
I wasn't expecting that epilogue clip in episode 8. It opened a whole other story. I've been getting the vibes…
No, I think you've got the 'kiss' thing (really, the stupidity to act like CPR is a kiss overwhelms me) backwards - he's a WITCH (ok, in this thing son of one since only women can be witches somehow LOL) so HE gave power to HER inadvertently. I'm rather sure that's it, because the soul mate has to be the lead guy. Poor Hong Bin :Y
i can't believe the age gap between the female and male leads , it's dammit 20 years
Quite frankly, that was completely normal for that time period. Think of it as being real for the time period. LLike, say, the costumes. My only problem with the whole older guy, younger woman is that it's CONSTANTLY done, while at the same time acting like older WOMEN, even those less than 5 years older, are just treated like it's weird or something. I have noticed in Korean dramas that there are more noona romances & less of the older guy ones, cause KDramas are aimed at a female audience, who's opinions about that are changing.
