What the fuc*k happened? this series finales was so intense for me, for a moment I thought it was over about them,…
Obviously he asked David to fix him so he could cry real tears. He had to - otherwise he wouldn't have the ability (not the EMOTIONAL ability but the PHYSICAL ability).
Same here! I mean, I still think the romance is one of my favorites and I really love the idea of the story, everything…
The kill switch was deactivated when Shin III took off his battery watch. That was stated & shown earlier in the drama. I too dislike time jumps, even when they are logical (it would have taken time to find Shin III, and fix him). KDramas do it to fake out their audience & wring emotions from them. But this one was really short, and made sense. I would rather have seen them actually fishing him out & working on him, not SURE if he'd come back, or if he'd reactivate but not remember stuff - I prefer that kind of suspense. I also would have liked a more definite scene with the 2 Shins reconciling. However, this had a very satisfying ending, wrapped up all the loose ends that I cared diddly about so not much to complain about!
A water God, Vampire, Alien, fox, werewolf, demons, deities, mermaids, Goblins etc. are ok right? Well I wouldn't…
Claudia - I think maybe some people find it squeamish because it's actually going to be a possibility in the near future, unlike water gods, vampires, foxes, werewolves, demons, mermaids. Now, ALIENS - there is now a consensus among astrophysisists that there's alien life on other planets, so that's also a possibility. I doubt said aliens are going to look like our man from the stars guy, however! But AIs made to look like gorgeous men or women, well yeah.
7/10 for me. I did enjoy the drama but I just couldn't relate to a love story between a human and a robot.
Oh, dear, here we go again. AI - artificial intelligence. Android. SENTIENT. Human level. I find it interesting how people get all upset over emotional interaction with another intelligent form of being. I mean, WHY NOT????? Considering there are still people in this world dictating that persons from country A should only get married to other persons from country A, or that same sex relations are evil, or bi-racial unions disgusting, I suppose it shouldn't surprise me. But it does make me shake my head. Sentience is sentience.
finally Ye Na did something useful! how did that other man not go to jail with Mr. Seo? so happy NS3 was still…
I was thinking the same exact thing! And you know, I'm sad that our little spoiled brat girl didn't end up with her Shin - cause she proved herself too. But who knows....
First of all i struggled a lot while watching the end of epiaode 36 my phone battery died while watching and than…
Those bullets didn't do anything LOL He's titanium or whatever :D THAT, now, is a leap of logic, BTW... Try shooting up your computer & see what happens...
i think it can either be interpreted as if david gave him this additional function or he was in a way of becoming…
I'm thinking that there really are companies playing with the idea of these 'perfect cities' (run automatically etc etc) cause this is not the first KDrama, nor TV/film, that I've seen about this specific idea. Makes you wonder (Circle, for instance, or Elysium).
I'm pretty sure David added that new function to him because he requested for it. He did mention desperately wanting…
Scientists are trying to replicate emotions in AIs as we speak - to do so requires understanding what these are. So who knows where to draw the line between knowing what emotions to mirror properly, understanding emotions and what they should mean intellectually, and really experiencing them? If an AI is programmed to interpret a situation the way a human with emotions would, and then display the proper emotions, think like a person with emotions would think and act like that, then at what point will anyone be able to say - oh the AI doesn't actually feel that way? That's a philosophical question floating around AI research - whether we can tell and whether it matters. Some neuro-physiologists are saying HUMANS are 'programmed' to feel emotions. It's all very fascinating to me LOL And this show touches on some of that! Loved it!
After reading all the criticism about the ending, I still think the ending made perfect sense. First of all, NS3's…
Beautifully put. We are on the path to making androids like this in fact (25/50/75 years - who knows...) and will at some point have decisions to make about a lot of stuff that's been the subject of science fiction for decades. That's the beauty of SF - it's fiction, speculation, but it deals with real possibilities! The second our RoboShin took off his watch, it clicked for me - AH that STOPS the kill switch! I remembered :D And I guess seawater does nothing to titanium LOL Some things you just roll with the flow LOL LOL LOL I'm thinking the only 'powers' he lost was the ability to control everything remotely cause now he's just got his positronic brain (sorry, Star Trek geek here LOL) without backup from a basement full of supercomputers ... Bet he can still throw bad guys across the room tho!
If it was truly an unconditional love, than they shouldn't had physical interaction especially kissing. Seriously,…
Oh for !#^@#$^ sake. Get real. Looks like a gorgeous guy. ACTS like a gorgeous guy. Talks, moves, FEELS like one. Come ON LOL Get real. Seriously. Our Nam Shin III is sentient as well. So where in the WORLD is the problem? I guess getting all hot and bothered by characters on a page or by those portrayed in a film is somehow more real? NONSENSICAL comment. Sheesh.
I liked the drama and all but the ending seemed too forced to me tbh .
Oh, cause unhappy endings aren't ever forced - pffft. Such a better ending than Absolute Boyfriend! I thought that the whole kill-switch thing was just a way to keep up the suspense tho.
I don't know if there is a problem with me lately but I can't seem to enjoy the lately hyped up dramas. I don't…
Some people perversely & automatically hate anything perceived as 'popular' just as others follow the herd and always, only like what everyone else does. It's the flip side of the same coin. Either way, such people are NOT making their own judgment, but rather allowing others to dictate what they like.
Sooo anyone who saw the english ver. what are the thoughts about the ending. I read some wiki. and the main commits…
This did indeed end the way the British Life on Mars ended. Both left you wondering a bit about whether he dreamed or not, or whether he never actually woke up in the present at all. Loved both. This was an excellent adaptation :D
