So this must be just as good as it looks :D

I dearly loved this show - it was funny and adorable for the most part. Some of the stunts were risky, tho - KHJ did indeed get hurt diving, for instance. But still, I liked the variety, and the interactions between the cast members. Truly don't understand why the low ratings :(

Why in the world would you want this lovely person (the cook Hyun Cheol) to do something so heinous as to abandon his own wife & child? That would disgust me. If the writers make him lose his MEMORY of his real family after they know who he is, that's awful too although it would preserve his character. Bottom line, real wife is absolutely right - the widow (the ACTUAL widow) needs to file those divorce papers once she figures out that her husband is not the one who came back from the dead - if she doesn't it just shows HER to be not very nice.

Hye Jin HAS a chance for a real, positive relationship - with her boss. She's FINE - she wanted to DIVORCE this guy, remember (for very good reasons). I feel for the kids but you know what? He'll still have the chance to make up to those kids even after the divorce goes thru. The idea that he'd abandon his real wife and DAUGHTER goes totally against the character we've been given.

He is the chef - his wife is that poor widow. Period. The other wife is gorgeous, has a guy panting after her who's worth a lot more than her real, worthless hubby who actually died, & has money as well. Nope, he needs to return to his OWN family. Kind of a no brainer there.

The story's decent & the writing was quite clever up until the last part of episode 12 - went way off course for that & first part of episode 13 but is back on track, looks like....(that would be episode 24 & 25 being ridiculous - those little half-episodes)

I see - I suppose I should just sit back and shut up, huh? When someone attacks me just because I want to understand why they hold an opinion that seems undefendable? Why don't they just DEFEND it then, instead of getting all personal? Why are you involving yourself, just because I defend my opinion? I love how people just can't STAND it when they find out they are dealing with a competent, qualified, trained person - just freaks them out. I'm sorry, I worked HARD for those degrees, I DO have the experience, and I'm not going to pretend I do not. So sorry.

Uee is an excellent actress - I never have understood those who hate on her. She's different in every drama (as different as the writers make the characters). I've never seen her play a character like this one before, as an instance. I'm not fond of this CHARACTER, but I'm very fond of Uee.
I not only don't agree with your assessment but completely fail to understand how you came to have that opinion.

If you don't like something, fine. Say why, and move on. But to add a lot of superfluous nonsense that is simply not realistic, that's hate speech in a lot of ways, and I despise it.

Face it, poor writing, period. For this particular scene. It stands out cause otherwise the writing has been good.

Uee's character is such an annoying byotch, I swear! She whines about being this 'independent female' which she is NOT since she lets her mom abuse her and take her money - the brother is just annoying, I don't hate him. I despise the MOTHER a lot, but Uee enables her. WTF did she drop the documentary AFTER Hyuk decided to do it? Idiotic. She's pathetic, and she's being nasty to him for NO reason whatsoever.

OK, this last episode just exhibited major failed writing - how very stupid. The prosecutors were supposed to be setting up the bad guy, even w/the change of venue - so WHERE WERE THEY????? They could have gotten the crook for assault, anyway! & noone would have died. That is inane and inept. This has been so clever up till now, so WTF????

You did not provide any 'textual' references showing examples to support your opinions. That alone would fail you in a critical writing class :D

I think it is rather funny that several people have decided that I'm somehow upset about this drama because I've got definite opinions about it. Seems to me that YOU are the one that's actually upset over it.
I get frustrated with the lack of logical reasonable criticism presented in these comments sections. In the case of this drama, it has actually hurt the entire cast & production crew (not this comment section, but the way that the SK audience perceived the drama). In American TV it is worse, of course - utter drek gets a free pass while really quality shows get cancelled, so often.
You talk about taking criticism well, when you are the one unable to do so. I am criticizing YOUR opinion, you see. I find your arguments unreasonable, and you just cannot abide this, obviously. So you fantasize that I want to somehow change your opinion,
I don't, actually. I'm pointing out that your ASSESSMENT of this drama does not offer an objective evaluation. You want readers of this comments section to agree that nothing about this drama was worthwhile, that none of the acting had merit, that even the production values were low. Based on what, pray tell? The fact that you personally did not like the drama LOL
The writing in this drama was uneven, illogical in places, and plainly banal in the character of Tae Hee . Joy showed that she's not anything more than a so-so actress - she's inexperienced and limited. The story did not live up to the hype, nor did the synopsis fit it (which happens a lot with KDramas). Other than that it was no worse than many dramas - a solid 6-7 drama.
It didn't deserve getting the worst rating for it's network, that is a fact.
Now, what exactly are you so upset with me over? Why did you feel it necessary to lecture me as if I were a child instead of probably older than your mother?
