Uh, I HAVE talked to some 'real' Koreans about this, and they confirm what I posted. It's not just Healer - it's lots of shows - if it caters more (or appeals more) to the younger group then they try to stream it instead of watching on a TV. That's true everywhere, BTW, not just Korea.

I basically really like this drama but the writers really need to STOP making that girl have insane reactions over offers of money. It is simply unrealistic - the character that has been portrayed so far would not take the money for free - but the way she behaves! She would NOT have punched Hyuk - that's idiotic. She would have told him he's ridiculous, etc etc - because he doesn't HAVE the money for one - & told him that she'd just take it as payment for all the stuff she's done for him up to that point. That's the practical way to do it.
Oh, & is SHE going to fess up to her work buddies that she RIPPED UP their compensation checks? I bet not - I bet the writers are just going to conveniently forget all about that ever happening. Cause obviously those 3 would eagerly have accepted Hyuk's money.
But that's all just manipulation by the writers - I really hope this is the last time we see this trope. Otherwise the character building and plot have been very convincing and interesting.

Yeah, I know what the writers are trying to show, but if that happened in reality, just wrong. I wish they'd find a better way to show this.

Why in the world?

I'm loving this so far, despite the writers adding that RIDICULOUS meme so many love. I want to shake them. Look, I get that showing the girl (or poor person) scorning money as compensation is to illustrate that money can't buy everything. But I'm sorry, she's got NO RIGHT to refuse for OTHER people. She's just outlined what hardships lay ahead for those 3 people that got unjustly fired - MONETARY hardships, mind - and she thinks its somehow OK to rip up their compensation packages to make a point, W/O consulting them? No, it is NOT. Writers need to get a grip here. Really. This stupidity always makes me furious. I will tell you right now, anybody does that to ME, rips up some compensation check to make their OWN point, I will slay them. Truly. How dare she make such decisions for others? It is a completely stupid yet way too common plot point, and needed to be discarded eons ago. Let each person make their OWN DECISIONS.
Oh, & I do get that she doesn't want them to know who he is - which is perfectly understandable. But there are other ways to make sure they get compensated for doing the righteous thing (I mean, she could have gotten money to them anonymously or some other way). So that doesn't fly.

Seriously? ~sigh~ You can voice your opinion all you want. Have at it. Guess what? SO CAN I!!!!
I recommended dropping the drama because YOU said you didn't LIKE that kind of supposed draggy stuff - which I think will FILL this drama! IE, if you don't like that kind of thing you probably won't like the rest of this drama either!

OMG I guess you just don't understand the story, do you? Not draggy at all - a lot of interesting info coming out about everybody. This is not an 'action' drama, nor a mystery/suspense one. Not even heavy melo. Just a story about a group of people and their individual paths, good or bad. You probably should just drop the show if you didn't like this episode, cause there will be a lot more of this. BTW it's only got 12 episodes.

Wrong. This is a very intriguing drama so far - I'm very much enjoying it so far.

Yeah, whatever. Min Joo has no need to get called back to reality - he pretty much lives in it every day. He's tough & willing to use this group of rogue investigators (ALL of whom, love them tho we may, are breaking the law - ergo that's why he COULD threaten them & their accomplices). He's tracking down a BIG insurance scam involving the people at the top of the food chain, & doesn't trust anyone. Give it a minute, he'll be one of the Mad Dog gang soon enough...

His brother most certainly is NOT innocent. However, you can be sure that your pretty boy is not the villain - he's wanting to find out about this big insurance scam network that roped his brother in & got him to kill himself.
This is an excellent drama, BTW. Great cast, interesting premise, excellent storyline & acting.

This guy is trying to suss out who got his brother to crash that plane. Obviously there is some mammoth insurance scam going on, involving corporate big wigs etc. The two lead guys are uber suspicious of each other but guarantee neither is the bad guy. I'd reserve that honor for Choi Won Young (who plays Jun Hyun Ki)

Loving this drama sooo much! Our leading lady is just so spot-on good at her job LOL And quirky :D I really adore romcoms that are REAL - that get me believing in the characters - & this is doing that so far.

I would so be on the phone to the cops immediately however the jerk was related to me! Either that or have simply attacked him. How DARE he! & that mother!

You totally miss the fact that our Grim Reaper is after someone? You know, whoever slaughtered that poor woman at the hospital? That was pretty darn clear.
Quit trying to fit other dramas into this one & just concentrate on following the plot - that should help lots.

Whatever. The entire point that you obviously missed because of your weak stomach was to show how totally different & NON-HUMAN what's taken over the detective's body actually is. It was MEANT to shock. But yeah, you sound wayyy too squeamish to enjoy this. Just quit trying to make your personal dislike something profound.

Exactly. SSH has to play multiple layers in this role and he's doing his usual stellar job. I've yet to see him give a bad performance, even in dramas that I turned out disliking. Finding an actor not to one's taste is of course personal opinion, but actual acting ability can be objectively determined in multiple ways - ie NOT personal opinion. There are several actors that I personally do not care to watch, but who I'm forced to grudgingly admit can act. Also several that I love to watch despite their limited acting abilities. Shae has done what so many people do, confused the 'I just don't like this actor (for whatever personal reason)' w/said actor's actual level of competence.

I can see some similarities w/While You Are Sleeping - the 'let's prevent what we foresee' aspect - but that's about it. The ONLY tie to Goblin is they both have Reapers - but that's it. Nothing else is similar.
