I only like the 'new' Ji Soo insofar as how she's treating her birth mother. She's actually NOT being 'new', BTW. The writers have done an excellent job of both showing her acting very similarly before (ie when Ji An went to the rich family) & in descriptions of her past behavior & personality given by her family. She's self-centered, single-minded (look at that whole crush stalking thing), thoughtless of others because she can't see how they react to her actions, and when she's mad she refuses to listen to anyone, just taking out her feelings on all around her. She's not evil - she's not selfish or greedy either. She does try to be a good person, tries to be nice to others, is not interested in money ergo not greedy, wants to see others happy. As for Ji An, she's wayyyy too selfless for her own good. She's tried to be a good daughter & sister, as well as a good employee. I figure she has felt so sorry for her parents, especially for her father, since his business went bankrupt. I agree that she should stop trying to shoulder all the responsibility & blame. But again, VERY realistic & also consistent with her character. This show actually has some very real personalities, considering it is a weekend makjang drama. I've worked in social services for years, & my father did before me. I recognize the validity of most of the personal reactions from characters in this drama. What's not realistic of course are the situations - the coincidences especially - which is usual for all dramas & especially makjangs. But the characters? VERY real.

Look, his acting is excellent - he's always done a good job. Do believe you are getting the CHARACTER mixed up w/the ACTOR. You do realize the actors don't WRITE their own characters, correct? If the script is bad, there's only so much an actor can do about it. I am waiting for more development for his character myself.

I never thought the son was that evil - just aimless & selfish. There's hope for him. His mother tho, a horrible woman, much worse than her sister - as WRITTEN. In other words the writers did a bad job here if they wanted Shin Ae to be seen as worse than her sister. The transition of the couple from loving & on the same page ambition-wise to being at each other's throats was quite poorly done. I see how it could logically happen, but unfortunately the writers failed to do that so we have to fill in a lot of blanks. With Min Ae we SAW over & over what a nasty piece of garbage she's always been, a disgusting excuse for a human being. She truly deserves to be in prison, more so than her sister, based on how the writers portrayed the two women. In other words, poor writing and poor story outline for these two.

Ji An does try to do it all herself, & she should have shared w/her sister as well as her BFF. That said, Ji Soo jumped the gun, totally got it wrong. She slapped her sister cause she mistakenly assumed Ji An was in on it from the first, without stopping to either think or ask. THAT's what totally annoys me about her. What Ji An does gets Ji An in trouble. What Ji Soo does hurts everybody around her.

No, the NORMAL reaction from a mature loving sister would be to ASK what happened, when she knew, why she waited to say anything. NOT to jump straight to the assumptions that Ji Soo does (& which she's done before!) She also immediately assumes her dad doesn't care about her, which is blatant nonsense. She's an immature, self-centered little child. She's not evil but she easily could turn evil under that rich mother's influence.
