i just want you to know that i am in love with your points and the excellent wayyou express them ^^thw work of…
For me the story stagnated after episode 9 - I could see where it was going & I was done. Also the main actress was not at her best in this. The two male leads however are both wonderful & I enjoyed watching them. I just wish the plot had been more interesting.
Why is Kim Jae Wook is so popular? I don't have anything against him, but is there some show that made everyone…
Linky - This is showing why you hated the CHARACTER. The actor is a very accomplished one who brings life to any role he plays. I see people mixing up these two all the time and it is annoying. To recap - Kim Jae Wook is popular because he is a) a very good actor & b) is gorgeous. He's playing the ROLE of an unlikeable guy in THIS drama.
So Chang and Dong Tak together are so enjoyable. Why do we need the cliché romantic interest? Let´s concentrate…
Why do people always focus on the romance as if that's the ONLY 'cliche' going on? Do you realize that ALL of the plot could be called that? There is SUCH a mindset against romance - we've been conditioned in the West to equate romance w/shallowness, poor quality creative works, etc - ie 'women's stuff' - it is horrendous. One reason I like KDramas so much is that they don't seem to share that attitude (I'm thinking that's only because entertainment companies are aware of the fact the the majority of their viewers are women, of course). Listen - romances HAPPEN all the TIME in real life. Period. If the writers do a good job & make it a logical part of the story, then no problem! In this little rom com (you know that's what it is, one hopes) the romance - or at this point attraction & flirtiness - is part of what ties the reporter together & makes the plot interesting & cute (ie one body, two guys - both flirting w/her) The plot tying the two guys together is also intriguing, but it wouldn't work w/o our reporter girl.
Is this drama any good? the whole cast is full of old people and no cool male leads, hmmm....
(to SuperDrama) Wow, dear, shallow much? This is an amazingly good drama. Wait until you've gotten out of your teens & you will appreciate it better....
so i checked the statistics on this and saw that what some 11 people gave this drama a 1-those type are that give…
I agree. What kind of idiot would give this amazing drama such low marks? No critical thinking abilities at all :( It's one thing to not like a certain kind of show, but to automatically think that one's own taste determines how well a drama is made? I think not. So ridiculous.
Everytime I get upset about irrational and hating comments on one of my current dramas, I come back to a handful of critically acclaimed masterpieces to see the idiots that are hating on THEM - it reminds me that the commenters on this site are not exactly the best critical minds LOL Misaeng - possibly the best Korean drama made in the last 20 years, totally not overrated, earned all it's awards and then some. Yet here are the fools. Let me go check what's being said about Signal and It's OK, It's Love as well - that should also help my perspective LOL
It was not a bad drama. The end had me in tears for a while... I know a lot of ppl r saying that there's sooo…
Ah he really did end up with Jin Ju in reality? GREAT - that is simply how I will remember this, then. Cause she was wonderful, chemistry great et al. That other creature good GRIEF!
@5Clivi in case you're still wondering, those are far superior.
I finished this one, couldn't finish Deep Rooted Tree. Now, Six Flying Dragons is the standard by which ALL sageuks will be judged from now on, but my 2nd fav one is Warrior Baek Dong Soo
When I saw that Yoo Seung Ho was in this drama, I automatically placed this on my 'to watch' list. At…
Wow. Never finished a Ji Chang Wook drama??? LOL Yeah. You know he does all sorts of different parts, is an extremely talented actor as well? I guess not. Whatever. In fact, I put those who don't like Healer in a special category.... He was well-matched by YSH of course - best bromance I've seen in a sageuk (a serious one anyway). I loved this show completely. I in fact recommend that those who've not seen sageuks watch this one, Sungkyunkwan Scandal & 6 Flying Dragons .
Yay, finally done. Oh no where to start. Reasons I started this is (of course, obviously) JCW and its high 8.3…
This has the most amazing bromance I've seen, certainly in a sageuk. Plus the love triangle among the older generation sizzled. JCW dazzled, of course, but so did YSH - totally drove the story. I guess the fact that you have no clue about why they called this Warrior Baek Dong Soo means you don't even know the historical period or who this REAL person was. I just get so tired of reading this kind of 'review'. I do agree that the female 'lead' just walked thru her part. Fortunately it was the two male leads' friendship that viewers invested in.
I thought she was great in Sensory Couple, but that is a much more lighthearted/quirky performance. I didn't bother…
I don't understand all the complete hate some people give her, nor Habaek. I will agree that Bride of the Water God was silly & shallow, but it was very pretty, & funny as well, if you thought of it as a well-drawn anime instead of live-action, anyway. It certainly was far from the worst thing I've seen - very very far from it. As for Shin Se Kyung, she's never bothered me at all. I can't say I'd ever call her a great actress or anything, but she gets the job done, shall we say. I've never seen her cast in anything beyond her level either.
To recap - Kim Jae Wook is popular because he is a) a very good actor & b) is gorgeous.

I rather like her, but yeah, I can see your point - not that unique.
