So there is no happy ending we can expect? I like the Male lead a lot, I want happy ending. Please
Which male lead do you mean? If you mean BR, yeah... there is not much hope for him. If someone doesn't kill him, he might die from the complications of the brain transplant. And he is the main villain so his death may be the happy ending... in a way...
If you mean Moo Chi, I think, if he finishes the drama mentally sane, that would be a happy ending for him. I don't think he will get married to Hong Joo and adopted her kid etc.

I haven't watched the 18th episode yet so I don't know how far Hong Joo learned about BR. In the 19th ep. preview, Hong Joo threaten to kill someone in the worst ways possible. And you know what, I believed in her! :) And she is cool-headed enough to deal with a serial killer, she did even as a little kid. Moo Chi was always too hot-headed to deal with a serial killer. Not sure if she is saying that to BR though, I assume she is saying that to Seo Jun. Her main issue was always with him.

I might show interest in Lee Seung Gi now. I love when someone push a story for it's plot and doesn't sacrifice…
Definitely! This was a risky move for LSG and it was so refreshing to see for me how much he owned it but it was not easy at all. Because he has started as THE hero, the protagonist who supposed to save the good people THEN they flipped the coin and he became the true villain. I see comments that how predictable that was and they knew it from very early on, lots of them can be right of course, but when I wrote my first comment here around the 7th ep and said BR can be the real killer with a couple of other viewers, there were so much confusion and resistance to this idea. LSG supposed to be the good one like always because he is the star hence: a typical ML-hero or an antihero at most. But he went completely the opposite. Even after the 15th ep, some viewers were hoping that he might see illusions and not the real serial killer. etc. If he hasn't done such a good job with great acting, there might be more resistance to this role. It was a risk but he nailed it.

For those who are interested, here he is talking about the 19+ rated episodes and the reason to keep them that way, and how different this project for him and his career:

The more I watch actors' promotional interviews for Mouse at the beginning, the more it becomes clearer LSG’s important role not only as an actor and but also as a part of the production process. He pushed and supported the project with his influence and star power. He didn't give up the project when the production halted. He insisted Lee Hee Joon should play Moo Chi. He agreed that some episodes should stay as 19+ rated even if that means losing viewers and popularity. He seems to be involved in discussions with Tvn not to cut any scenes to down the age rating and he was thankful that they didn't. He didn't compromise the story for the sake of more popularity. Mouse is a dark, violent, complicated, twisted, and challenging project as well as his role in it. And if we think about his nice and untouchable image in SK in general, this was a challenge for him. The viewers might not have accepted it but it turned out the contrary. Through his great acting of course, his good image amplified the drama’s and his role’s effect and gathered more attention imo. And I think, he, Choi Ran, and the production team saw this and used it. It was definitely intentional. With Mouse, he has become a much more interesting actor and artist to me. I hope he is also happy with the result and this will give him more encouragement to try different and challenging things in acting. That talent needs to be used and flexed more.
After Mouse, I will definitely keep an eye on his following projects. I hope he will be involved in the production process more as well as continue as an actor.

The more I watch actors' promotional interviews for Mouse, the more it becomes clearer LSG’s important role not only as an actor and but also as a part of the production process. I see him as the pillar of this drama and I think this definition really fits him well. He pushed and supported the project with his influence and star power. He insisted Lee Hee Joon should play Moo Chi. He insisted that some episodes should stay as +19 rated even if that means losing viewers and popularity. He seems to be involved in discussions with Tvn not to cut any scenes to down the rating and he was thankful that they didn't. He didn't compromise the story for popularity. WHAT WILL THE OFFICER DO NOW?????? HE WILL BE CRAZZZZZZZZZY AS HELL. I CAN'T WAIT EPISODE 18-20 PLEASE. I wonder…
I think he might die anyway... If somebody doesn't do it, he will die from brain transplant complications. I didn't believe when Daniel first said it, but he is getting physical effects like nose bleeding and becoming more metally unstable...

Which episode are you watching now? There will be other psychopath criminal cases as sub-plot but they have connections to the main story. There are lots of cuts in the scenes but that is for a reason too, not just bad editing ;) So things that might not make sense or confusing will fit in places later and make more sense.

This is such a strange show. I had a hard time getting into it, then I was hooked, then they dragged it out and…
Yeah, Jung Ba Reum is a role that might go off the rails easily and be ruined but LSG has such control over it that he looks so natural and effortless. He really knows what he is doing... My only concern is that since he makes it look so effortless to play that role, many other actors and producers might get the wrong idea that it can be easily portrayed and make their own BaReums... Please...Just don't...

This drama is more a tragedy to me than a thriller. All those tragic lives are tangled together. Two mothers, two totally different kinds of fathers, two out-of-norm kids with unique genes, two lab mice… The more we learn the real events, the sadder it gets.
One woman was hopeful for his unborn son because his father was a kind-hearted and good man so why would his son become a serial killer? She held on to that hope and gave birth to the kid but once, the idea had settled in her mind so she got alarmed with the weird-dangerous signs, which eventually pushed her to try to kill her own son. The thing she couldn’t dare to do before the birth. At the beginning of the 17th ep, it was sad to see how she decided this, stay awake all night to gather courage. You can see that horrible acceptance that her son can be a predator. He already started show really serious signs. But if she didn’t do that test, would she think and do the same? Would she readily accept that her son will be a predator one day and the only solution to kill him? Would Jae Hoon turn into a serial killer anyway if there wasn’t that test that seals his destiny even before he was born then the events of his childhood or he would be one of the psychopaths who learn to adjust in society? We will never know.
And the other woman was readily accepted that she would give birth to a potential predator because of her serial killer husband. She was too late for abortion and then saved by the boxer so she had to give birth. Despite all those abuses because of his father, the kid had grown up to be a kind and emphatic one. But once, the idea had settled in the mother's mind, when everybody said and believed that her son was the serial killer, she believed in them. Because well…like father like son, right? It was so sad that she can't even display her son's pictures in her own house as she wishes. Yo Han was abused and mistreated all his life when he was alive, and misunderstood when he was dead. If that is not a tragedy, I don’t know what else is…
I don’t believe the kids were changed by the way… To be a predator, JH didn’t need to have a serial killer father. This is not about the DNA; this is about the family, the institutions, the society, the unique personality of each person, and how they react and fit or couldn’t fit in society under these conditions.
And IF there will not be more than what we know so far, Shin Sang has been protected from all of these because his father was a higher up in the government.
The boxer gave up boxing and started to work for a “company” then after he murdered the JH's family, he quit the job. So why he took the job? Did he know what kind of company it was? Why did he accept to murder a whole family to save the son? And he also saved JiEun and indirectly Yo Han’s life too. So how much did he know about those kids and why save them? Especially when he was a relative of a Seo Jun’s victim. BR was so full of rage and hatred that he didn't even listen to him and the boxer didn't try to explain either, maybe he thought he deserved this punishment.
Yo Han also visited BR’s childhood house the day he was shot. He learned about BR’s sister-Jae Hee then he probably found her to visit her. He was the one to visit her. He was collaborating with Daniel and they didn't work with OZ, Daniel might be at the beginning but he is hiding from them now. That might be the reason for his fake death that he arranged with YH. I think we will learn the reasons.
The government is involved in that Oz thing for sure. But who else? I keep thinking Seo Jun, he is the only batshit crazy one who obsessed with these experiments and human conditions.
Bongyi can be annoying from time to time but she is another tragic character and she will be destroyed beyond words when she realized she was mistaken and has a part of the death of the kid that saved her.

I'm just thinking that can it be possible that dr.lee daniel was having an experiment on jae hoon as you sais…
Yeah, it is definitely possible that he might have had an agreement with the government to work on his thesis more. And it might make sense for the government too, if there is a possibility to detect the possible serials killer as Daniel claimed, it might be useful for them too. And those mothers and children were the perfect opportunities. One kid is the son of a serial killer, the other was the son of a normal, good-natured man... That might show if it passes from parents to kids through DNA. We still don't know where Shin Sang and his father fit in all of these though...
But I feel like whatever Daniel or the government or whoever was planning, it failed big time. Because this situation didn't fit Daniel's theory, he assumed YH was the killer like his father (IF all the fathers and kids are stays like that lol) but that hypothesis seemed to collapse for now.

Things have started to get unravel but getting more complicated at the same time :D
I am really curious what the boxer's mom would say and how she has come to the conclusion that YH was not the serial killer. She seemed really sure of it...
So, the boxer was the brother of one of the victims of Seo Jun. SJ and Ji Eun's kid hadn't borned yet at that time, neither the nurse's... Fast forward, the boxer was the killer of BR's family, for some reason, he did it to keep BR alive? Because after that incident, they took him out and gave him to the care of the fake aunt (is it possible that she works for the government too?), in a way, to keep him under close monitoring. Then years later, BR's first murder was the boxer...
And Jae Hoon definitely didn't murder his family, let's move on from that idea. In the special episodes, BR himself said that the boxer was his first murder. Not only that, the real murderer is confirmed in this ep, but also how an 11-year-old kid can stab a grown-up man from chest with that force that he would fall down from the ladders? The boxer did it all or a part of it (we don't know if there are others in the house, we didn't see what is going on the upper floor. )
And at last, MC asked the burning question: Can YH be innocent? He said he has a bad feeling all of that, Moo Chi, my man, you have no idea how bad it will get for ya...
I need to watch the last ep. a couple of time to figure out more :D

I think she might be "hired" to take care of BR from the very early ages. Maybe they introduced her as "auntie"…
Yes, he was at the hospital too but aunt's kid was not there with them. When the kid saw the man on the bus then asked who that man was and aunt said he is no one, let's say goodbye to BR. Apparently, the kid saw the man for the first time.
