I think she might be "hired" to take care of BR from the very early ages. Maybe they introduced her as "auntie"…
Yeah, it didn't seem like her real husband to me... He didn't seem that much involved in their life. Did we saw him just twice? If I remember correctly her kid asked who was that guy when they got on the bus?

Any guesses or theories about "the aunt?" Was she really his aunt or someone hired to play his aunt? It's obvious…
I think she might be "hired" to take care of BR from the very early ages. Maybe they introduced her as "auntie" to him because she seems to know his childhood if she wasn't faking and a VERY good actor. She definately had no idea what BR was doing, who he really was before the surgery though. Because she seemed very fond of BR before and even just after the surgery. Then maybe she realizes he got a part of YH's (a known serial killer) brain and what that might mean, panicked and left. Maybe someone told her the general situation and take her out...idk... We know so little about BR's family and everything surround it still a big mystery that I think the biggest twist will come from there.

At the beginning of the 2nd special episode, as he was writing his diary, Jae Hoon gave the dates of the events in general and everything seemed to happen in October, in ten days precisely. The most interesting part is Jae Hoon tried to bury Jae Min on the 19th of October and his mother tried to kill him on the 20th of October so according to his diary, those two events didn't happen on the same day... I don't think that was a mistake so I am curious what will come out of that.
And according to the grown-up Jae Hoon a.k.a BaReum, his first murder was the boxer so he didn't start to kill until his late 20s. Maybe he started as an act of revenge for his family then realized that he liked it. There must be another motive for him to start with the boxer other than his resentment to God.

I don't understand why Yo Han did not tell the police that he thinks Ba Reum is the seven deadly sins killer.…
In their last scene, BR asked where the police are and YH answered that it was useless to call them. I hope we can learn why he thought like that. To me, it seemed that YH acted that way because of their past. Maybe he thought that he should be the one to end him, idk. He defined BR and himself as "just two sad people" and seemed so sure that BR needed to die and police would not kill him. MC alone maybe...
But he would not involve Hong Joo, to not put her in danger though she could handle BR better than him. YH was too emotional to handle BR imo.
I think that MC will kill him too. I don't think that he will end up in jail. I think BR might not really go full psyco again but he might go mad, completely lose it at the end. Past and present and all the emotions are messing with his mind badly.

I was watching ep 14 and thinking the other three main leads and their current perspective of BR:

Hong Joo: She learned not only BR killed the other predators after the surgery but also connected it with the YH. She tricked BR to kill the last rapist and she seemed very sure that BR would come and he did. It was a big gamble but she played it. She is the most morally grey character out of three, imo. She doesn’t hesitate to get her hands dirty when she needs to. She is very ambiguous emotionally too. Did she really love YH or it was a companionship for her? She still seems to have a soft side for MC but that that ship has sailed a long time ago. Her own childhood traumas still haunting her as well and I am curious how she will react when she learns the truth about YH and BR.

Bong Yi: She thinks BR became a murderer because of her and she has become more emotionally attached to him. And if we think of BR's clean and harmless image, she probably thinks what a big sacrifice he did for her. Along with MC, she will get the biggest blow when she learns.

Moo Chi: Moo Chi is a completely different case... We keep having these cliffhangers with him and not getting much come out of them, not sure if this time will be any different, still a bit early for MC to learn imo. Though he has started to get suspicious of BR as far as we saw from the new preview, he still has some way to figure it out. He still hasn’t even questioned the possible complications of brain transplant; he sees that BR is not well but hasn’t connected with YH at all. He seems to completely close that case in his mind. That is why I am really curious what he will do in ep 16 and how far he will learn and make progress. All hell will break loose when he learns the truth, of course. I am one of those who think that MC will kill BR. Because BR himself kept saying to him that MC couldn’t kill a psychopath yet because there might be a reason for that and maybe his brother is protecting him. I think he said this in more than one scene and we saw it toward the end of 2nd special episode and it seems a big foreshadowing to me. That might be saved for the killing of the ultimate psychopath and murderer of his brother.

They actually showed us that. BR showed him a bomb around the kid so probably because of that the father didn’t…
I can add another one that is connected with your points and that is society's prejudices. YH had been abused because he was the son of a serial killer. Now, his son is also being abused from the same prejudices. And a genius might turn into a predator with the push of these social abuses. YH didn't, somehow and for some reason BR did. Did BR turn into a serial killer because of his DNA or her mother's and others' prejudgment that he will be a murderer like his father? We still don't know what happen in their childhood and how they grew up and under which conditions really. Choi Ran hasn't said her last words about this. If the son of a murderer is also a predator then is it destiny stamped with scientific facts? Or things might have changed if her mother treated him right? It might also because of personality, BR's main motivation comes from a deep resentment to God. He thinks God made him this way and he didn't answer his prayers so he makes his own rules to challenge God. I mean.. that is an extreme way to go no matter what and it might be because of his character more than anything. We will see...

I just don't understand why the priest(Moo Chi's brother) didn't shout out on camera that JBR was the killer all…
And also, I am not sure if that would reveal the killer... When BR was right behind him with a knife on his neck, the most he could say would be BaReum's name, I don't think he would have the time to form a sentence and BR might come up with several explanations why he said his name and might manipulate the situation like he always does. And with BR's clean and harmless image people might believe him.

I have just watched the special episodes and wrote the same comment on its page too and goddamn! Man... from directors to the screenwriter, from editing to the cinematography and of course the actors... Everybody doing their best works, giving their best efforts here! Especially editing, it is like a puzzle so it is so important to bring it all together with flow and they are doing a wonderful job, congratulations, really! I don't know if there are any other TV awards in SK and if there are and Mouse won't get whole technical nominations and win most of them, it will be such a shame for that award show and lose credibility imo.
And LSG... the pillar of this drama...I keep singing praises to his acting like everybody else and I feel like we have said every kind of praise out there already in different languages but apparently, it is not enough for him because he keeps upgrading his work, keeps doing better in each episode! What an ambitious man! :D

I read a negative review from a critic. But by reading the review he didn't understand a thing. I guess they have…
Ah, okay, thank you for explaining! I thought she meant the ones saying that she keeps changing and rewriting according to the viewers' reaction... But yeah, Mouse is not one of the dramas that you can skip here and there, even when the pace slowed down.
Actually, it is kind of interesting to follow those who were expecting (and keep expecting) a conventional Kdrama/thriller that can be followed from afar. It is much more grift here. Here, the story jumps to the past then to the present and there are lootts of cuts in the scenes so it is easy to judge and blame the script. There might be plot holes and mistakes but it is unfair to say anything until all is over imo. Let the woman tells the whole story, damnit!! :D

It is also my favorite scene that I have been waiting for. LSG is really going to another level in his acting…
Yes exactly! Nothing over the top or loud but you feel the treat. For example, when he entered the bathroom with Chi Kook, you can feel that he is preparing for the attack. You feel the change not just see it. We haven't even seen him raise his voice, but we have a "very" good idea of how dangerous he can be.

Choi Ran clarified again that she finished the script by March and snapped at people who speculate about it without checking the facts. I like her, hah!

Also, looking forward to these special episodes. They will be treasures to look for more answers that we can only get from "old" BR's point of view and hopefully, we will have a better perspective when we continue with the 16th ep.

https://twitter.com/airenarchives/status/1386722924405542914?s=20 - bareum, you copy cat!
I think, since LSG was involved since the beginning, he had lots of time to think about the character and characteristics of serial killers, maybe discussed with Choi Ran in detail. He reeaallyy knows what he is doing and very in control of his character which is a part of his successful portrayal.
Also, we need to appreciate the directors and film crew. In behind the scene clips, you can see how careful they are, closely watching and helping the actors even with the smallest gestures. In the last bts clip, they warned LSG not to use hands when kissing because it looked too experienced for BR. Mistakes can happen since they are racing with time but in general, they are doing a really good job imo.
