this is all okay but my problem with her is that she is obtuse and cannot read the room. her brother clearly told…
She obviously went there to learn. What did you watch? They tried to stop her, so she brought her own stuff and did it herself. She just does not have the aptitude for it, but she tries everything her sister does even though she's not good at it, in hopes that she can finally get approval. You think that if she actually got someone good or did something great, her brother and mother would refuse? She's right in that they actually would like for her to be helpful, but she just isn't at the time. When she showed her mother the poems from QiAn, did she scold her or commend her? If they want her to stay out of trouble, they should stop telling her that because she is not brilliant, her brother is not favored, even though he is brilliant. That the other prince is ordinary, but because of his brilliant sister, he is favored. Maybe if she did not hear things like this all the time, she would not be trying so much. And you guys keep bringing up the poetry competition like she has dine anything to ruin it. At the moment, she has been looking for talents like ALL the other children. And she went to show to her mother what she got. What exactly has she done wrong?
In my ideal situation, Lin An will mature, but she will never be as brilliant as her sister. I want her to find the things she likes, if she doesn't know them already, and channel her energy towards them. Also, Huaiqin should not be made to be evil. She should really care for the nation and do the right things. Then a nice sisterly relationship between the two. They don't have to be overly affectionate or anything, but they would tolerate and like each other, something like that. It would be so nice if the story breaks away from usual or expected tropes in such a way.
The more I watch, the less I understand why Li An is getting so much flack and Qi An isn't. Abuse of power is something both of them have in common lmao. Because why is he acting out so much just because he "has the backing" of the "Grand Princess?" The scam she is trying to pull of and his audacity in ep 10 are sending me lmao. These two are really like two peas in a pod, personality wise.
omww so on point, they're both striving to get what they want to achieve, but people don't see it!
Exactly. One thing that keeps nagging at me from earlier is how Qi'An kidnapped that guy to frame the Zhou's, but let him go free in the end without any consequences, even though he was also a douche. It was a firm testament to his character. He did not really care what those two sons did, except that one put his family in danger, so he had to go. Even though the one that was kidnapped was fond of abducting women off the street, relying on the power of his father, he was not concerned about that.
Maybe because I watch shows looking at what the writers intend, and not what I want to see, I am usually more understanding and tolerant. Xu Qi'An and Lin An actually are selfishly seeking the best for themselves. Neither is actually concerned about the greater good, but that is going to change obviously. Why is Qi'An a Guardian? It is because he was a fan. They were really cool and he got the opportunity to join them. Lin An is trying to do better than Huaqin, someone she has been compared to all her life. But the two of them actually care about and will protect their families. There are things I have seen people get mad at Lin An for doing, that Qi'An actually did in some way, but people did not question him. I guess it is because he is also very smart and innately powerful. But not all characters have to be this way. Most people in the world are just ordinary people trying to survive, people greatly affected by their environments. Why should they be who we want to be, and not who they are?
I love how they are showing us different couple dynamics, different romantic tales of the girls. It is a very big lesson that people should pay attention to. If you let emotions affect your ability to make sound judgement, you will suffer greatly for it.
I have to say I'm all for their love marriage. I didn't expect much for their wedding night but I was a bit put…
The writers said to us that we can't have it all lol. But it was not unusual for DZ. She had been holding it in for sooo long, so she just wanted to pour it out. Also, SM is the swoony romantic one between them, not her. Plus it had to take some time for her to reprogram her brain from independent machine.
Not when he is at the epicenter, planning the death of his so called "friend's" husband. If there is no plot twist…
JY is not a good person per se. That much is obvious. He moves based in the conclusion he comes to. DZ's life is very important, so I will ruin her sister's reputation to protect her. That was the most obvious example. SM is unwilling to join their side, so he is obviously an enemy. I don't know how to explain this, but it is an unavoidable situation.
