In my ideal situation, Lin An will mature, but she will never be as brilliant as her sister. I want her to find the things she likes, if she doesn't know them already, and channel her energy towards them. Also, Huaiqin should not be made to be evil. They don't have to be overly affectionate or anything, but they would tolerate and like each other, something like that.
It would be so nice if the story breaks away from usual or expected tropes in such a way.

The more I watch, the less I understand why Li An is getting so much flack and Qi An isn't. Abuse of power is something both of them have in common lmao. Because why is he acting out so much just because he "has the backing" of the "Grand Princess?" The scam she is trying to pull of and his audacity in ep 10 are sending me lmao. These two are really like two peas in a pod, personality wise.

One thing that keeps nagging at me from earlier is how Qi'An kidnapped that guy to frame the Zhou's, but let him go free in the end without any consequences, even though he was also a douche. It was a firm testament to his character. He did not really care what those two sons did, except that one put his family in danger, so he had to go. Even though the one that was kidnapped was fond of abducting women off the street, relying on the power of his father, he was not concerned about that.

Xu Qi'An and Lin An actually are selfishly seeking the best for themselves. Neither is actually concerned about the greater good, but that is going to change obviously. Why is Qi'An a Guardian? It is because he was a fan. They were really cool and he got the opportunity to join them. Lin An is trying to do better than Huaqin, someone she has been compared to all her life. But the two of them actually care about and will protect their families. There are things I have seen people get mad at Lin An for doing, that Qi'An actually did in some way, but people did not question him. I guess it is because he is also very smart and innately powerful. But not all characters have to be this way. Most people in the world are just ordinary people trying to survive, people greatly affected by their environments. Why should they be who we want to be, and not who they are?

I love how they are showing us different couple dynamics, different romantic tales of the girls. It is a very big lesson that people should pay attention to. If you let emotions affect your ability to make sound judgement, you will suffer greatly for it.
