Really! a pre-teen business magnate? Did anyone in the production not think how ridiculous this looks. Granted…
In the past, maturity was generally at an earlier age than now. That is because of the manner of education they received. They did not live this long, so they basically started life early. A 15 or 16 year old girl was old enough to get married, have kids and run an entire estate. She was very well trained for it from the time she was old enough to know anything. Same with the boys. If they were old enough to start their lives so early, why could they not run businesses and become wealthy very early.
Next is that she has lived about 30 years already. And in that time, she spent about a decade running the estate of her husband's family, which included businesses. And she has all the memories of that, plus knowing all the events that happened that did not change in this new life, because the people are still the same and only she has the memories. If this type of person did nothing for herself, that would be even illogical.
Lastly, this show did something spectacular. She came back and in this life, she learned from masters. So she now has added education. Plus she has a brilliant adviser that she regularly consults. There is absolutely nothing illogical about this plot. Also, she is 23 years old. Not pre-teen. Does she look 11?
I find her very beautiful. She gives the impression of innocence as this is her character. I think in the following…
I can see that you are a hater, so this will be my last comment to you. You have no idea what happened to her that she pretends to be mute. She survived something traumatic in the past that forced her to not speak. If you actually watched with your eyes open, you'd see that she has been mute since childhood. The 2ml, her college friend, learnt sign language to be able to communicate with her. That was way before she got married.
Did you watch the show? Since the first day of their marriage, the man told her to not act like they know each other in public. Told her she was a replacement and asked her why she was wearing the wedding fit when she was a substitute bride. He talks down at her and orders her around. Shows no care for her. When she did a sweet gesture in the beginning by making dinner, trying to dance with him and everything, he did not eat the food and he shut her down. Told her to stay out of his way.
Just because you can speak up for yourself does not mean that others that have been oppressed by their families since childhood and have gone through traumatic events to make them withdrawn are stupid. A synopsis of this story said she was depressed even. You should be thankful for the things you have and are able to do and not look down on others that struggle with what you have.

She does not have power or a say at all in this relationship. How is she overbearing? The only demand she has made in their marriage was to be able to work and that was a year ago. How can you call her overbearing? He gives commands and she has to follow. His mom and her mom also give her commands without regarding her opinion. How is she overbearing?
Idk if it’s really abuse or not because he’s someone important as the government official, so if there’s…
Take it that he works for the blue house. He is not the only boss in the entire building where he works. He is like one big department. It is like when the police request for forensic services from the NFS. They all work under "security" and are related. So he requested help from another department. Don't you remember that his assistant left the office to make the request? And he requested help from another department to protect his wife. They are not an intelligence agency, but they have enough resources to do some digging. When things go beyond what they can do and SE feels it is dire enough I guess, he will probably request help from the appropriate authorities.
Am I the only one that thinks her being with that phone and doing all those things with it is a security risk? She's…
I think I did not properly explain my full thoughts. Yes, she is acting foolishly in term of her safety, but it is very understandable because she has seen an opportunity she never thought she would get, and it is one she can't miss. Plus all the pent up anger and frustration. If this happened maybe 6 months or a year into their marriage, she may not have acted this way. But she has been in this farce for long enough to feel very trapped now.

Sortof, but then, why else would they have all the equipment and the intelligence to handle such cases in his office if they cannot use it for things like this? There should come a time when his office collaborates with the police, but for this preliminary investigation, if they can handle it, that's fine. After all, the police also run on taxpayers money. It's somewhat like saying his office should not handle a hostage situation involving the wife of the president, when they have the intelligence to handle things like this. The man puts his life and that of his family on the line being in his position. Surely he is qualified to use the resources they have provided to enable them handle such issues. The equipment is there for a reason isn't it? Plus we know nothing about the kidnapper. This could like they said, be the action of an organisation. If the lives of the Koreans his office saved with those resources, in the first episode matter, then HHJ's life also matters.
random, but can we also talk about the fact Hui Ju is wearing heels in the house... in her pajamas? 🤣 I think…
I've seen it in a couple of Kdramas. It is only done by chaebol wives or women. Same with the types of clothes they wear as house clothes. Very stylish and can be worn to leave the house, like what she wore in the first episode, after the attack, when she was making dinner for herself.
she doesn't trust him. they don't have any kind of relationship and she's pissed hearing him say to bring him…
I don't think it is about being pissed or not trusting him. It is about finally seeing a one in a million opportunity. If she misses this chance, she may be doomed forever.
Who here thinks there will be a childhood connection plot in this show?
I think there is already a childhood connection, depending on how old she was when her mother remarried. They are both from chaebol families that should have known each other to some extent in the past. If there is a different connection, before her mother remarried, that will be separate.
Am I the only one that thinks her being with that phone and doing all those things with it is a security risk? She's risking her safety for her freedom. She should have given him the phone and reported that her car was hacked. And if he was able to do it before, he can do it again, and with something else. For someone that has been trapped, this opportunity is like finally seeing a branch you may hang on when you are drowning.
HOW AM I TO WAIT A WEEK????? I like that I have something to look forward to every weekend, but at the same time, they should have dropped all the episodes omg.
