They have already shown us that JY does not really care about feelings, he just cares about DZ's life. That she will live well and not suffer. The most important things to him are his ambitions and DZ. Now DZ has a target on her back because of her husband. If he falls, she will surely die as long as she is still married to him. So do we expect him to sit and do nothing? Do we expect that he'd act like he was a female friend and encourage her to stay strong and steadfast in love regardless of the dangers?
He is telling her basically to choose her life.

Me shouting to cdrama writers to watch this show and take notes. The couple can get married, with both parties happily consenting and aware of their feelings early in the show and we will STILL have a great romance. The story is even more moving because of it.

I'm getting sooo well fed by the married life in this show. They did not do the marriage by convenience where it'd take the couple 34 episodes to confess and be on the same page even though they caught feelings over 20 episodes ago, and then the episodes in between are filled with misunderstandings.

I believe JY's issue is DZ's safety. Not necessarily that she is with someone else. Of course her being with someone else has to hurt, but she is increasingly in danger. JY only cares about two things; his ambition and DZ. Now the two things have been pitted against each other. SM does not want to submit to any side and has offended so many people. Very powerful people are after his life and one way to ruin him is through his wife. Depending on the outcome, if SM loses, DZ will surely be killed. Do you expect JY to sit and do nothing? Would you do nothing if you were in his shoes? Her being with him is not important. Protecting her life is.

It is not that he is crazy about her. At some point, it'd be to choose her or his ambitions because of her relationship with SM. SM's current stance and Ji Yong's partnership with Lord Qing are opposite stances. So as JY keeps pushing ahead, DZ is increasingly in more danger, especially since SM is walking around with a big target on his back.

They are evil through and through. Why will they be remorseful? People that are willing to risk the lives of even family members for their own purposes? I absolutely love the lack of remorse because I am tired of them giving a way out for the villains when they are so undeserving. Or making them escape with minimal punishment or an unbelievable change of heart when they were insanely cruel the whole show.
These people are greedy and vicious. Why should we expect anything else from them?

I support LL past SM's rights and wrongs gosh. They gave him reason after reason after reason to flip. There is too much tragedy in his life. Too many people either want him dead, or on their side, to support their quest for power.

They spent the budget in the absolute right place and it paid off BIG. Must have taken a lot of faith to do that, because from what I see, the marketing is not a lot. But the story is speaking for itself, so it was a great investment in all.

Yeah, it must have been quite tough for them.

People keep saying that the budget for this show was low, that it is a low-budget drama. And that is insane because if it is this good, imagine what the director could do with S+ budget.
The writer of this show was in their element when writing it. It must feel like a great blessing for a novel author to meet a production team that can perfectly deliver what their story is about.

11 more episodes nooooooooooo. This was a really good drama to end the year on, and in such an unexpected way.

Yeah, I really really like seeing him in screen. I love his character description and how the actor is carrying it. He is enigmatic. I'm also happy that he and DZ have each other in this life.

I just remember seeing him in Dashing Youth. Yes he was pretty there too. He should gain more and more recognition. I like seeing actors grow.

The actor playing Ji Yong is honestly very handsome in this role. Those two moles by his eye are the icing on the cake. I can't even remember the other shows I watched him in atm. He is eating his character up. His eyes are serving everything his character is.

Dou Ming showing us that love is really not enough. It is only a base requirement. If you marry someone irresponsible and weak-willed, you will be headed for disaster no matter how much affection you supposedly share.

DZ's fifth uncle is like his father. Just more cruel. His father did not care about anyone but himself basically, and his son is just like him. One indiscriminately pursued women and the other power.
