I have not yet watched the episode, but from the novel, the problems were that she spread it online and got her friends to do the same, to support her. Also to spread that MYC is the son of a conglomerate family with power and connections, so it was extra unfair because he could easily get away with it. And she was also refusing to get tested with a rape kit, acting all traumatised and stuff. So the police had to detain MYC, not that they had declared him guilty, but in response to public outrage and the nature of the situation. Also, MYC did not help his case at all. He did not speak or take action. The only person he wanted to speak to was XQ. So they could not do much about the situation. Xiao Yixiao said that if he had spoken earlier, they could have mitigated the public damage YZ caused by confiscating her phone and other things.
You cannot be serious lmaooo. WDX's character was even given too much screen time. I do not mind because he was…
In my first reply to you, I already told you I had no problems with the actor and the amount of screen time he got in the show. That I rather liked it and understood the character. I also have been defending MYC on this page and on twitter lol. I literally called myself a MYC defender. and dedicated a whole essay to defending him some days ago. So watchu talking bout?
The best thing that happened to SY and XQ apart from each other are SY's uncle and aunt. They jumped in to take raise SY with all the love and care after his dad died and accepted XQ twice just because they wanted him to be happy. They took care of her so much even after what her parents did. Such genuinely kind and loving people. It is no shocker Zhai Miao turned out so great

Did you lose your ability to read AND COMPREHEND? I literally said I am not a super fan of a particular actor or actress across different countries because I like anyone that can act and hear you are calling me a YY fan like he's my bias lol. And I replied your comment because it was ridiculously subjective, and without reason, because you listened to gossip and so did not give the show a fair chance.
Wei Daxun was praised because of his acting, he became popular because people liked his work, he became so popular…
You cannot be serious lmaooo. WDX's character was even given too much screen time. I do not mind because he was not that annoying to me because I understood his POV and I love how fleshed out the drama is compared to the novel. But in the novel, WDX's character had probably about a quarter of an appearance of his screen time in the drama, so based on your statement, who did who a favor? And you cannot call me a super fan of anybody because I have wayyyyy too many actors and actresses I appreciate for their talent. I am too objective and appreciative for that. You however, sound very biased and angry. You are also not showing proper sensibility because if you watched the show objectively, and without relying on gossip and negative comments from haters and the like, you would see that every actor in this drama ate their roles, with the acting of the leads coming up on top. And that is because it is their story and they carry almost all of the emotional burden the show is filled with. They did too much justice to their characters to deserve these words.
The house he got for XQ is so pretty, but it looks a bit expensive. Where did he get the money from?
He bought the house at 20 when it was run down from the money collected from rent and what his late father left him. He then renovated it bit by bit. He lived a very careful and less than minimal life to save up, plus housing prices kept on increasing, so he had more money to work on it.
There is a world of difference between the life SY can provide her and the one she is used to. Before she left…
She did. She did not want to leave her life of luxury, that is why she gave up on her feelings for MYC, and why she gave up her relationship with SY when she was younger. It is only because of SY that she is willing to give up now to fight for them to be together. The other thing is that you cannot say all she wanted was a comfortable life, when she grew up wealthy. That was not in her thoughts at all. If SY did not come into the picture, she would have kept on living her life as usual. She is only willing to bear everything now because of him

There is a world of difference between the life SY can provide her and the one she is used to. Before she left her parents she was probably only paying to feed herself and fuel her car. And I'm sure she still got money from her parents. Even her bags and most of her clothes were bought by her mom. She never had to stress about material things all her life, and that is something SY cannot provide. That luxurious life she's used to
After skimming through today's episodes (I'll watch it properly later) and thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that YeZi is exactly who I think she is. All events point to it being true and I'll explain why. If my analysis is wrong, I'll be surprised, but still take it. There will be some spoilers here.
I think YeZi's character so far is a build up to what happens later. It is meant to make us think. Also, her relationship with MYC. She is calm and seems nice and innocent and this should be a set up to explain why her friends believed her when she accused MYC and helped her spread the news online. I also think her internet celebrity image is also to be used in this plot. From todays's episode, Zhai Miao found the theatre ticket in her locker, which means she may start suspecting her, or at least not believing everything she says, which will lead to her quick thinking to collect evidence to prove YZ was lying when she accused MYC. Also, although MYC is talking to her and going out with her, he is not giving her the attention that shows that he is interested in her. This may be why she jumped the gun and tried to get him to sleep with her, but when he disagreed and kicked her out, she was angry and embarrassed and smeared his name. In yesterdays episode, YZ found a location that was near MYC's office and I wonder how she knew immediately that his office was nearby if she did not look him up (knowing his company is even another question, but there are ways she can explain that). And that solidified my suspicion that she chose that location on purpose. She and Zhai Miao are put side by side to show the difference between the two. out of all the roommates, Zhai Miao is the one that wants to make it and be successful on her own the most. YZ does not complain or really disagree when they talk about the benefits that come with being with a successful man. One of such instances where their difference was shown was when they were talking about MYC after she brought them the coffee that he bought for them. Their reactions are totally different. How do I trust her when she tried to arrange her hair to make her look like XQ in the car? Also, when MYC asked for her opinion on the guy that asked for a business investment today, she adjusted her answer because she saw the disapproval on his face. Then she held herself because she almost goofed. She "mistakenly" spilled his water at their first meeting, "mistakenly" scratched his car with her bike. And her reactions in this instances when she was looking at him and when she was unhappy with the lack of response at the scratched car. She was shown as suspicious from the beginning and then shown as nice, and now, they are making her look suspicious again and while it is confusing some viewers, some believe she is a good person. And I think this was done on purpose. If a presumably kind and innocent and quiet person accused a wealthy guy, or any other guy really, of rape, would you believe them easily, or should you wait until there is proof?
I see. I also think he sort of knows what she's trying to do on some level. I was so shocked when he told Xiao Yixiao that the reason he was asking about her was because he did not want her to go down the wrong path. I was wondering what he saw that made him think that. And after watching today's scenes of them, I do not think he is interested in her. He rather is trying somewhat to guide her away from making a mistake and that is probably because she looks like XQ
I've not watched today's episodes, so I don't know. But coming from her character in the book, and more importantly how she has been acting in the show, she looks like a gold digger
I am a MYC defender because he's also a product of that awful upbringing, and you can see that even though he may be overbearing towards XQ, it comes from a genuinely good place. You could see his desperation to hold onto his beliefs during his conversation with SY. He knows how he and XQ were brought up and does not like it, but he cannot do anything about it. He also thinks the world of his parents and believes they know best. You cannot blame him for that. Without SY, XQ may not have ever gained the courage to break free. She'd just continue like she was and get married to someone in the same circle and may have ended her life when she finally got to her limit. It was her love for SY that kept her rejecting all the blind dates. And like SY said, if she really married someone from the same circle, she'd be bullied to death. Anyway, MYC just got an eye opener about XQ's state in relation to his family. The one that will seal the deal will be the eye opener for his parents, especially his mother. We should extend the same grace we extended to XQ to him too.
On another note, I cannot for the life of me, like YeZi. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with her bruh. If my boss accused me of being an opportunist, and trying to get with a wealthy guy and it was false, and if I magically got paired with said rich guy as a designated driver, I'd cancel the ride on sight. I'd start keeping my distance, even if it is for some time, if I genuinely liked him. If I got no feelings, then bye bye.
My favourite thing about MYC is his car. The colour, the design, the aesthetic, ughhh. I love it lol. It steals my attention every time it is on screen.
I thought in drama , YZ in not the same in novel. Because in novel YZ seems to be "naughtier". Just like Jiang…
I did not read anything about YeZi until her last appearance in the novel because I was unconcerned about her character, and although I read most of the novel, I skipped some parts for some reasons. Also, her character did not have much "screen time" there
