I've held off watching this after finishing ep11. What was the point of her drunken fit?
We the XQ warriors and novel readers have spent days explaining to so many people here, so if you do not mind spoilers, or just want to get a very full explanation and stuff, you can scroll down and read all the opinions and arguments. But reading the novel is my best recommendation. It's actually just the best thing for this drama.
Thats why i wasnt fond of hidden love cause im not into incestual feelings of adopted siblings having feelings…
I may be wrong, but don't some people that are close and probably grew up together call each other ge and mei in some situations? I think it is the same type of thing that happened in the Meng residence until they caught feelings and the mother wanted to put a stop to it.
She still has to. The Men's are still her legal guardians. This is just an effort she is making to be brave and take control of her life. She never wanted to change her surname in the first place.
No they are already changing it to something involving SY’s father’s job.l instead. It definitely would have…
I think they are still tied to politics or the military in the drama because when they were adopting XQ, the father said him and her dad were comrades and isn't that what military people call each other? He may have meant it differently though, let's see
I am conflicted about the ending for the mother actually because I wished the book gave a more conclusive ending of her relationship with her family. So I do not really mind what direction they go in the drama, as long as it is more conclusive
The way this book is written is different from normal stories. At this time, the fl and ml have made their decisions…
This story is really different lol. I also kinda watched a date with the future and I was wondering how they were going to show another firefighter drama soon after and how they were going to be similar and stuff. I did not expect the story to be so different too lol.
Is Jiang You the second lead? Doesn't matter the answer really, because he is to me now. If SY was not in the picture, I'd ship XQ with Jiang Yu. He is a really good guy and would be able to protect her from her mother. The only thing is that she would not be happy, because she is only that happy with SY. And no one loves XQ as much or like SY does. In the novel he said that she was the one that woke up his protective instincts. That all he wants is an environment for her to exist as she is. Whether she wants to carry her backpack in front of her as she walks around, or she wants to be quiet on her own, or when she arranges her books, messes it up and fixes it again, that he wants her to be able to be in a safe environment. He understood that she was cold and indifferent and depressed, but still loved her like that
I was thinking the same thing about him becoming a firefighter afterwards. I think they cleared his name, but he still could not go back. And his body in the drama does not have torture scars, but there is a gunshot wound scar I think, so I do not think the torture part is there either.nSo probably something about being shot like you said. We'll see
They are going in a different route sounding like Fl's mother has got something to do with the ml's dad death???…
The way this book is written is different from normal stories. At this time, the fl and ml have made their decisions and are living in the choices they made. It was because fl almost lost the ml at the earthquake rescue and just the events during that time that prompted them to decide differently, somewhat. So these are not fillers per se. And the family dilemma will continue until the very last episode because it is a part of what makes the characters. How will they show their growth and how it changes their environments if they do not show their families? The story is written carefully and in a way that can show reality. It is more slice of life than romcom, so it may seem slow, but things are happening throughout.

Hidden love was not even slightly incestual or problematic. She had a crush on him when she was 17, not even 14. At 14, she liked him because he was nice. She even said that she wished he was her brother instead of Sang Yan because he was nicer to her. And DJX only got feelings for her after she became an adult. He did not even spend too much time with her when she was a minor. So to me there is no problem with their relationship. Living with someone does not make you siblings. It just means you have someone you have grown up with. Way way back, people married distant cousins or people they were not very far related because there was not as many options and many other important reasons. But now, it is not medically and morally good to marry your sibling or relative. So as they are not blood related, I think it is fine. Shea, them making it look one sided rn is best for the adaptation as you said. It'd cause more problems if they did not do that.
